Blind ass luck PATS don't get none today

rewriting history already?

If the Giants wouldn't have came onto the field and started celebrating before the game officially ended... we wouldn't be having this conversation.

If the game clock hadn't been allowed to wind down to zero the field wouldn't have been covered with people from both teams, the photographers, media folks, and fans. So who is at fault for the mess?

The game clock ran down to zero and then one second was added back.

Must you try debating everything I say? :D Don't you recall the punishment me and Joe Rogan unleashed on you in the Smoking thread. You just keep coming back for more. I must admit though, you've got a lot of heart.

My feelings exactly. I did the math, 62+(2007-1972)=87. Odds are the oppourtunity for perfection by anybody won't come up again in my lifetime. Too bad.
I personality thought it was a terrible game, 10 minutes of excitement doesn't make up for 50 miniutes of ineptitude by both sides.
I still hold out hope of seeing another '72 Dolphins, or the Steelers of the great years. A team that wins by grinding out the rushing yards instead of all this passing. Where is Franco Harris when you need him?

punishment?

I along with a lot of others couldn't get into the forums for over a day then I just let the subject drop. While I was locked out a new report was published a half a world away from the imaginary US government and US corporation conspirators you credit with all things that don't suit you that found that pot smokers were 5.6 times more likely to get cancer, even after things like cigarette smoking were taken into consideration.

There is a limit to how long I will waste time arguing with folks with their head stuck in the sand. It doesn't make them right, just willing to keep deluding themselves and others after I am through wasting my time pointing out the foolishness of their ways. I often move on once I figure there is enough information in a thread for uninvolved people reading it to make up their own minds. Since you are under some delusion that you successfully teamed up with someone else to punish me in that thread I'll go see what was said after I left it.

I didn't pay any attention to who posted the comment about the Giants, purely pointed out that the implication that the Giants were the sole cause of the problem was BS. There are a handful of posters whose posts I make a point of reading because of the quality of their posts, you aren't one of them. There is nobody that I bother chasing to contradict.

Hu

Edit: My mistake working from memory. Pot smokers are 5.7 times more likely to get cancer.

"In this high-exposure group, lung cancer risk rose by 5.7 times for patients who smoked more than a joint a day for 10 years, or two joints a day for 5 years, after adjusting for other variables, including cigarette smoking."

I don 't know how 18 straight wins winds up being blind luck, but everyone loves to tear down a winner and celebrate a longshot. The Giants had their day, no doubt. A real defensive tussle. And if it wasn't for dingaling Asante "I'm the next best thing to sliced bread" Samuel dropping yet another thrown up for grabs ball, the Gints would be an also ran. So before calling this blind luck, lets see what the Gints look like next year. If Willy Eli winds up with two more, then we can talk about the Giants in the same breath as the Pats. Until then, fuggetaboutit.

You're right, Peyton would have choked!

are you on crack? Peyton is going to break every conceivable NFL record for quarterbacks before he's done. His winning percentage is incredible thus far and he has a super bowl title along with several division titles and individual accolades. That might be the single dumbest statement I've seen on here in a long time.

I agree Peyton is a phenomenal quarterback, but let's not talk about breaking every record before he is done. That is all dependent upon his have a top quality team around him, in this age of parity and free agency that is by no means a given.

It even gets worse when you do the correct math and find out that it is 97 instead of 87...;)

I was crying, screaming at the wife, I couldn't believe it!!!! It's been years since I was that emotional about a football game. Much like I felt when the Oilers won their first Stanley Cup. I respect the Pats a great deal and even like them myself, but as an ex New Yorker, the Giants were a sentimental favorite. What a game, and I agree with Jay, the Defense should be the MVP!

Hu I extended the olive branch to you in the Smoking thread by saying thank you for the spirited debate and to have a great week. I remained civil after our discourse.

I thought it would be quite apparent that the above post was said in jest, but you came back with this vile post which is filled with nothing but animosity and obvious disdain for me. I won't even begin to debate your "facts" because that would obviously falls on deaf ears.

Please don't get me confused though. I will call someone out if I think they are saying and/or doing the wrong things on this forum. As it should be done by everyone. I just don't understand you launching into your tirade for my post quoted above.

Maybe you are having a bad week. Hope things start looking up for you, Sir. :)

He has been in the league for only 10 years and has averaged 4162 yds and 30.6 TD in each of those years. His totals are 41,626 yds. and 306 TD's. That places him 9th in career passing yards and 4th in career touchdowns passes already. By comparison Brett Favre, who owns both of those records that he just broke, has been in the league for 16 years. His averages are 3853 yds and 27.62 Td per season. While Peyton still has a way to go, he is way ahead of the pace set by Favre and since he's never missed a game due to injury, his durability isn't really a factor. Most experts agree that Peyton will own all significant records.

It is really simple. I watched every NE game this year, saw all the lucky breaks(drive continuing penalties) they caught. The Ravens game was a total luck win,as they had lost save for a phanthom time out on 4th and 1,and two penalties afterwards on the same drive,as well as the questionable catch by Gaffney to win that game. Blind ass luck. You don't like it,but it is fact,so they take their rightful place in history as another "good" team.

I'm just tickled they got whooped so my Dolphin's record stayed untied or actually unbeaten if you count 3 more games played this year by the Patriots compared to the 1972 Dolphins.

Franco was seen running to the sidelines. A habit he developed in Jr High School.

Peyton has had the best team in the league for many years over the last decade. He has choked in most of the big games he's played in. Including this year against the Chargers. Records have nothing to do with winning championships, just ask the Patriots!
As far as winning % goes, why don't you look at his post season winning %, its not that great.

He is 7-7 in the playoffs after going 0 for his first 3 when the Colts weren't that good. He has avg. 278 ypg with 21 TD against 17 Int. Oh, and a Super Bowl Championship year where he led his team from a huge defecit in the second half in the AFC Championship and then a defecit in the Super Bowl. I'm not even a Peyton fan but how in the hell can you call him a choker?

NY shut down Brady, NE did not shut down Manning=NY won.

They were good when he was 0-3 in the playoffs. They had Marvin Harrison and Edgerrin James and Peyton Manning all those years. As for the year he did win the Super Bowl, Rex Grossman had just as much to do with it as Peyton.
Remember the year he choked against the Steelers when they were supposed to be one of the greatest teams of all time? How about a couple of weeks ago losing to the Chargers minus Rivers, L.T, and Gates at home? The Colts have had the best talent in the league for most of the last decade, it is totally ridulous that they only have 1 title. The window of oppurtunity is closing on them.

Maybe both teams should have been under the threat of going to Irag in the US Army if they lost. Maybe NE would have played harder.

Friend played for the Marine Corp during the Viet Nam War, they were an exibition team, and if you did not give 110% effort on the field you lost your slot on the Team, and were shipped to NAM...
