I think at times i miss shots because i blink for a split second,i see the shot and cant imagine missing it,even cant believe that i didnt make it,its happened and i cant see why i miss and assume i blinked at the key moment, anyone think its possible?

blinking shouldn't matter

Once you are in position to shoot blinking shouldn't matter. There is a good chance that you are steering the shot, swerving in your stroke.

I agree. If you're lined up properly and stroking straight it shouldn't matter.

Try setting up some easy shots, and once you are confident that you're gooved in on the shot, close your eyes on the final backstroke and execute the shot. Try dead on shots at close range first and move the cueball further away after each successful attempt.

Once you have that down, try it again, but this time with a slight cut, again increasing the distance after each shot. Increase the cut angle and do it again.

You'll be surprised at what you can do with your eyes closed provided you are lined up properly, in a comfortable stance and stroking straight along the line of the shot.

lol, I think your reaching dude.

I agree with ShootingArts you probably steered your stroke. Or perhaps you weren't aligned properly. Poor alignment seems to be the cause of missing shots you shouldn't have.

One thing I do is when I get down on the shot I do a quick check to see if my cue is pointing dead centre on the cueball (or at least where I intended to point it). If it is not, I get up and re-align.

you might be experiencing a "mental" blink.

Lenny: By any chance, do you wear contact lenses? Poorly fitted contacts can definitely affect your game, especially when you blink.

I agree with the others that it's unlikely blinking causes you to miss. However, you might flinch or lift your head off the shot or let your attention drift to where you want the cueball to go, and that could account for the misses.

As for alignment, that could definitely be the fault--either you didn't get in proper position, or your mechanics need work because you are not delivering the cue on plane.

that is plain mean!

That is plain mean, and terribly funny! :D :D :D

I did something similar to a friend that had enough competition experience to know better but he had a very thoughtful look on his face for about twenty seconds before he realized he was being sharked.

Good call- focus on what matters.

Do you inhal or exhale when you pull the trigger?   ;) :p :o :D

Thanks for the comments guys even the smart ass ones, lol, but i think it might be something in my mechanics, they are pretty crappy,so i will have to just keep practicing and also i think sometimes i do steer and thats not good, stay down and follow through is what i need to do.:)
