Do you still have Brents cue that you were supposed to refinish a few years ago? He sent it to you in 2008 and hasnt seen it or heard from you since. Make it right.

Joe

Hey Blud, been many many years, good to see your still at it.

Thanks,
Tom Hay

Are you building cues again or just equipment?

Are you building cues again or just equipment? Not that your equipment is "just".

sir

As stated before, I have not received a cue from anyone named Brent, if Brent would take care of his business, instead of you, we could most likley solve this problem your causing.
I ask for any paper work showing that a cue was sent to me, and it has never come about. If you continue this, my attorney will be intouch with you. It would be best you mind your own affairs.
Sorry, but I, have never received a cue from anyone named Brent in the 35 many years in this business. Again, sir, I quit building and repairing cues in late 2004, when my late wife became very ill. I, took care of her from Sept. 04 until she passed in 06. From that time up to now, I have been retired from building or repairing cues. During that time, I owned a steak house. You sir, could have me mixed up with another cue maker with the same last name, who is no longer in business.
regards
Leonard Bludworth

First off, my condolences about your wife. Beyond that, feel free to have your attorney contact me, im not doing anything wrong. Someone doing business as Leonard Bludworth talked to my friend Brent, in Kokomo, Indiana and quoted him a price on refinishing his cue and putting on ivory ferrules. He followed "Leonards" instructions, sent the cue, and never heard from "Leonard" again. If someone is using your name, then that is a problem that needs to be handled on your end. Either way, the cue disappeared, and no communication ever happened again. Thanks for the reply.

Joe

snipershot, this will be my last time to visit with you on this subject, [which happens to be none of your business to start with].
I've ask for paper work from your friend Brent, none has shown up.
Mail it to me at
box 659
Leakey, Texas 78873....
If sir, I was at fault I would step up to the so called plate and make things right.
You sit back and knock me without proff, and you have no proff, and it's none of your concern. As stated my last time to visit with you, please be a gent and let this go.

Let this be a lesson to anyone out there get paperwork from Blud or else, you have no grounds to think a phone call and verbally agreed deal on cue work will be honored.

Thats how your responses make me feel sir.

Tread lightly from here, maybe check your records and make sure your not mistaken.

If one piece of evidence evolves to prove you wrong you will be crucified by the AZ clan. And your return will be short lived.

Good luck to both parties

Im afraid you are mistaken, it indeed is my business. I look out for my friends and dont like to see them get scammed. And your response about "paper" is a joke. The only paper that existed was where he wrote down your address when you were on the phone with him, and that was 3 years ago, like hes gonna still have that meaningless paper. Furthermore, i consider soeveral of these fine people on AZ friends of mine, and if theres any chance i can keep them from getting screwed over by someone, you better believe im gonna jump in. Without friends, life sucks. My "proff" is my friends word, which is solid as a rock, unlike some other people. Now, be a gent and at least attempt to make it right, or at the very minimum, try to find out who was answering your phone claiming to be "Leonard Bludworth". Thanks.

I'm going to agree here with Snipey. Just like saying "my attorney will be contacting you" is absolutely meaningless, most times the only practical course of action is a unified front against someone who has wronged them.

Nearly everyone who does these sorts of things knows that the cost of taking civil action is almost always impractical. The only recourse in these matters is a barrage of phonecalls and other forms of making the offender as uncomfortable as possible.

I don't know what happened but, and I've been screwed a few time here, when someone takes advantage of me or my friends I enjoy making their life a living hell for as long as I can..

I posted something similar in another topic and it amazes me how people will do business with someone they don't know and this is a good example.

Not taking sides of either party but if "Brent" sent a cue, why would you not spend the extra $7 and get a signature confirmation? That is ignorance, plain and simple. Or at least a tracking number? Maybe have the cue maker email you a quote and an agreement of sorts. A tracking number signed off by the receiver and now "Brent" has a case.

If you have no proof Blud received it or that Brent sent it....who do you believe?? The "word" of a few of my friends is golden and I would probably side with them in a heartbeat. However, many of my friends aren't dumb enough to send their cue to someone without protecting themselves with something as simple as a tracking number/delivery confirmation.

totally agree with this. sending a cue through the mail with no tracking info or signature required is absurd. who would do that???

I once bought a cue on eBay. It was shipped by Fed Ex. As I was driving up my driveway I noticed a tube shaped package on my neighbors porch (he is the definition of the neighbor from hell). I went up on his porch and sure enough there is my new cue. Another cue I purchased, for my wife we never received (it was insured). The seller shipped out another cue. We had the same experience with a Dyson vacuum. It was shipped insured by UPS. The driver remembered dropping it at my neighbors side door. He left several post its asking him to put it out to be picked up, no luck. After 2 weeks of trying to pick it up, UPS got a phone call, on a Monday, saying come pick it up. It had been set outside under a valley on his roof and we received 2.5 to 3" of rain that week end. TRACKING #s, INSURANCE, and good COMMUNICATION. Jim

I know a supplier who sent a cue maker 15 sticks of BE maple in 2003 and the supplier never got paid. The cue maker also asked for "paperwork". Some things never change.

However, from what I've heard, this supplier who never got paid would love to be contacted by the cue makers attorney. If the cue maker wants to push the issue, please say so and I'll be sure to tell the supplier to make it all public so the cue maker has reason to have the cue maker's attorney contact the supplier.

Have a great day! ;)

i'm always amused at folks looseness in threatening someone with an attornery. If they actually have an attorney then he likely thinks they are as much an idiot as the one there threatening.
