I dont know why Brent didnt send it insured, or have a tracking number, but i know he sent it. And if the guy he sent it to didnt recieve it, then why did he never answer the phone again when Brent called? I understand those who are keeping an open mind and trying to be objective, but I believe my friend, without a single doubt, that he got screwed. At the time, the name "Bludworth" was very respectable, and it was no problem sending his cue to him. Just as I would have sent my Scruggs cue to Scruggs if he was going to work on it. I didnt see any reason for worry, or I would have suggested he not do it, but I had never heard anything bad about him at that point. Ignorance cost my friend his cue.

was it an EXTREMELY valuable cue or something? Why would a cuemaker with a respectable name destroy his own reputation to steal your buddies cue?
I'm not saying your friend is lying, I'm just saying he should have protected himself better, at the very least. It is possible your friend sent the cue, but it was lost/stolen/delivered to the wrong address. If that IS the case, then you are stalking/trashing this cuemaker unfairly.
I agree, he should have protected himself better. Even so, if the cue never arrived, dont you think that Leonard would answer the phone, or make an attempt to figure out what happened? After the cue was sent, there was ZERO communication. And yes, the cue was pretty expensive, around $800 if i remember correctly. Also, from what Ive read, blud has a history of not following through with promises and work. Read the thread that JoeyInCali quoted a few posts up, and you will see what Im talking about.

If I ship a Cue.
It is my responsability to insure it. If it turns up missing it is on me to recover. A missing Cue is not the consignees responsability. If it was recieved then yes. But the consignor should be in a recoverable position if the shipment was insured.
Always insure and document your purchase price.

I've been in the cue bussiness for 30 plus years, each and every time I ship a shaft or ship cues, they are insured, I also require the receiver to sign for the package.
Never once have I said, BRENT didn't send me his cue, not once, However Joe, claims that I received Brent's cue.
Joe continues to knock me without proff of me receiving Brent's cue. Again, I've never said Brent didn't send me his cue. It had to be lost or sent to another address. Never got it.
Joe is friends with Brent, and is taking care of Brent's affairs, this in it's self, seems strange to me..Friend or not, Brent is the person who should be contacting me, not you Joe.
If I had of received his cue, it would of been repaired and sent back. I make my living repairing and building cues. What would I have to gain from not sending a repaired cue back?
My old phone number, it changed in 2010, sorry but I do not recall receiving a call from Brent, or Joe, during the time slot in 2008, or any other time period... The last repairs I did was in Aug. of the following years, 2008, 2009, 2010, at the APA Tournament in Las Vegas.
There's no proff that I received the cue, but Joe, continues to slam me without proff.
I ask you this, if this happened too you would you like it? No one would.

How could it possibly be strange that Im looking out for a friend of mine? And Brent DID try to contact you, multiple times with no luck. He called you several times, and nobody answered the phone. I will be the first to admit that he made a terrible mistake not shipping it with delivery confirmation, but if someone had answered the phone, maybe Brent and whoever was claiming to be you could have found out about his cue. Nothing would make me happier than for you and him to settle this and move forward, and I will certainly give him your phone number and email address so that he can contact you. And for the record, im not bashing you or talking trash about you, im simply stating what happened to my buddy. I dont enjoy arguing with you one bit, but I always look out for my friends. Always.

Maybe theres something Brents not telling you. lesson learned on how to ship a package. It just sucks that something like this happened , hope it never happens again. Joe you are a good friend for backing your buddy we all need that at times. Have a goodday
Did he try the new number? I spoke to Blud myself the other day, so he isn't dodging calls.
I know nothing about this personally, but it wouldn't be the first time something got screwed up in shipping. Without some sort of tracking number or evidence it is pretty easy to see where Blud is coming from here.
It's noble(and something I would do as well) to support your friend's as much as possible. However, the company who shipped it probably asked for the same information when he reported it lost. UPS STOLE(yes stole) a 4000.00 supercharger I shipped here locally. It never made it onto a truck. Without the paperwork they would have said I was SOL.
I don't care for the attorney comment, but it seems like he wants to do the right thing....
Im gonna give my buddy bluds number and email and see if they can figure out what happened. Thanks for all the help, and thanks blud for the respectful pm.
