Bluegrass Cue Wanted...it Must Be Fate!!! :)

Funny......the only snakes I've seen around D.C. are the ones working 9-5 at the Pentagon!!! :)

Based on 35 years' experience dealing with those snakes, they can be much deadlier than any other kind!!!

Just wanted to say "thank you" to ya'll....and wish ya a happy and safe 4th of July!

just the other day i won 3 dollars on a 3 dollar lottery ticket...

wow.. your probably thinking right now...

"how can he win if he paid 3 dollars and won 3 dollars.. that is pretty much breaking even????"

well.. your right.. it would be considered breaking even if i paid for the ticket...

HA! i found the ticket!! Chalk up 3 bux profit for this guy!! :)

lol..

I put 3 coins into a slot machine. Hit a cherry. The machine displays a message that says congradulations you won 2. So I figure great if I cash out I should get 5 coins. Wrong! I get 2 coins. How did I win when I lost 1? This explains the billboard sign that says Millions are won everyday at that casino. I guess this is casino logic: You play 3 and you win back 2 so the more you play the more you win. Now the IRS wants me to report and pay taxes on these winnings. (Even though you don't fill out a form the IRS rules are you pay taxes on all winnings, legal or illegal) You can deduct your loses against the winnings. I lost one, won 2 so therefore I owe taxes on 1. :(

I am no tax expert but if you are paying taxes on your casino losses then you are just silly.

It is my understanding that you do not have to pay taxes for anything won less than $599.00. (I may be wrong here but I recall reading something like this on the back of a lottery ticket.)

Most important however when you put that $3 in the machine it is considered a $3 loss, so if you win $2 you are at a $1 loss. If someone tells you different you may want to consider another source for your tax advice or if this is just your understanding of it, reread the tax codes/laws.
