Bob Dzuricky Cues

Timeline update...almost done

Update/bump

Bob sent an e-mail letting me know that the cue is in final stages. It should be no more than 2-3 weeks till I get the cue at my doorstep.
He is waiting for any possible inlay migration to show prior to the final sand and polish. The wrap is still on hold for that. The shaft is due for final pass and a clearcoat at the joint.
Almost there. Quality is worth the extra wait.

Bob has made sure that nothing leaves the shop without being 100% perfect.

Thanks again for following my thread. Final review is coming soon.

shaft progression and pic...almost there

Hello again everyone,
I got another update from Bob Dzuricky today.

"The shaft got the final cut today & I bored it prior to live tooling the joint threads... Once the threads are in, I can begin painting the shaft & installing the ferrule & tip. "
The final sand and polish of the butt's finish is scheduled for this coming week and of course the wrap.;)

Here is the pic of the shaft just prior to live tooling the threads. The color got changed slightly (pinkish?) when I resized the pic.

Done and nearly ready to ship...bump

Hello again everyone...

The wrap is applied and the cue will ship later this week maybe first part of the
upcoming week. Bob said that he tested the cue and cycled through a series of tips
until the desired playability was present.
The cue weighs in at 19.15 oz. with a natural balance... no weight bolt. Perfect for
what I wanted.

Pics will be posted after Bob gets them done. The colors of the wood dictated that
sectional pics will be taken to show the details due to darkness/flash issues with the
camera.
Pics will be posted as soon as I get them/he can take them.
Stay Tuned...
Jeremy:smile:

This thread has become more of a gallery thread, rather than a review that others can add to. So I moved it out of the review section and into the Cue & Case Gallery.

I have commissioned numerous cues from Bob and I have to tell you that every last one came out perfect :) Bob is an absolute pleasure to talk to/work with. He has answered, in detail, every last question I have ever asked him...no matter how rediculous ;) The fact that he constantly keeps you updated with information and superb pics regarding your cue keeps the anticipation high and makes you feel like a kid at Christmas when it arrives.

He nails every detail one could ask for when ordering a cue. He makes sure that the customer will be/is completely happy with their order. I am not a "nut hugger", yet a person that understands/appreciates quality work along with professionalism. Bob is the epitomy of both.

Your cue looks amazing. I was watching Bob's videos about the inlays in your cue. I did not know, until today, who's cue they were to be apart of. You should, as I can see you are, be excited as the cue looks great. Congratulation on choosing one of the best in the business.

I will be placing another order with Bob for a cue in the very near future as soon as I can gather the deposit.

response to a9ballbr8k...

a9ballbr8k,
Your review for the Rosewood Titelist Tribute contributed to
my research on Bob. Very nice cue. Thanks for your review.

Thanks for the compliments on my cue, also... the videos really got me
excited about the design and execution of the cue. Its nice to see a concept come to life
in that manner.
You saying he's one of the best in the business is no surprise.
This is my first custom cue, and I already feel that Bob's service and quality
are going to be very hard to beat. Hopefully these reviews will turn more people on to his work (not that I would want a longer wait...).
I don't think I will ever have a reason
(or need) to get a custom cue from anyone else.

Final Pics... YAY! cue is in the mail on Monday

Hello everyone,
Bob sent me the final pics today and will ship the cue out on Monday. :D
The cue is dark and he had to take quite a few shots to get some that didn't have
too much glare while still showing the detail work.
Here are a few pics I had to resize. The original pics are very large and show
very high details. I am very pleased with the overall look of the cue.:winknudge:
Enjoy...

Stunning woods and veneers...great overall design too!
I would have never guessed how well that complete combo of woods and colors would come out, and that's fantastic...Wow!!

Great looking cue, Bob is a pleasure to work with. Builds cues in the time frame he says, competitive on price, and communicates great with customers.

Thanks for all the kind words everyone... Bob said that there are gold flecks in the Lapis as well. There are so many subtle things that add depth.
I really am looking forward to the mail runs this week...

Bob does excellent work and is a great guy to deal with. You can't go wrong with Bob!

Final Review... got my Bob Dzuricky Cue

Hello all,
I got my cue in the mail today. :D:D:D
The sleeved/sealed cue was wrapped up in several layers of bubble wrap
inside a stiff tube, inside of another box. Absolutely no chance for
shipping damage shy of being run over.

The cue looks exquisite.
The finish is very deep and has the highest polish I have seen personally.
The inlays are flawless and show no glue lines.
The fit of the shaft is superb and has tight tolerances.
The joint ringwork lines up when assembled.
The cue is naturally balanced at 19.15 oz.
(no weight bolt and FWD balanced)
The hit is exactly what I wanted...
Design execution is beautiful and well balanced (to me); Bob had free reign
on Ivory inlay thicknesses and scale/size based on my drawings.
Trim rings were Bob's idea(free reign) and the black rings were offset thicknesses...
very good ringwork that ties in nicely.
The shaft is the best I have personally owned as far as finish/feel.
The cue allows me to put spin on the ball with less effort than when using
my Predator Z & Z2, or Both of my Joss shafts.
The wrap is very nice as well with a good even press/installation that is
almost perfectly flush with the finish.
His logo is clean and the signature in the point is crisp and does not
detract from the design/appeal of the amboyna burl.
He threw in some windows for 4 inlays for free because he thought it meant that much for the design of the cue.

I have no complaints about Bob's work and would highly recommened him to anyone. His pictures are very good and he is a pleasure to work with.
He even offered to refinish my cue in a year if I had any issues with the inlays settling due to the Florida humidity.

Bob's service is impeccable and the quality of his work follows suit.
A++

Thank you all for reading this post. It has been fun.
Jeremy:wave3:

Thanks Josh...Bob is just that...

Hell-of-a cue, from a Hell-of-a builder.

Josh

Thanks for the kind words... Josh, your cues are not my favorites any more :(... as I suspected would happen when I finally got mine in the mail.
I am sure you are heartbroken about it...

I enjoy looking at all of Bob's work and watch his site for updates weekly.
If I had the cash I'd order another today. It has been that fun. I got an in process pic of a cue with some purple veneers sitting next to mine. That one was a looker too. Is that one yours??IMG_9769a.jpg
I would like to see that one as well. If someone here has it.

It appears that you have several in his finished cues page (assuming its the same "Josh")... congrats.
Now I can focus on improving my game more. :D I think some lessons are in order. I think I'll go rack for somebody tonite... lol

Hey Jeremy,

Nope, that cue is not mine. Looks to be a Titlist style or conversion. I'm not big into the Titlist veneer colors unless they are dark.

I do have several cues from Bob. He has also made my father a shaft for another cue, and a very nice set of joint protectors for that same cue.

Currently I am saving up for another. Haven't talked to Bob about it yet, but soon. I really enjoy working with him. He is a great guy and one hell of a cue maker. All of my cues have been perfect; and I mean perfect. His communication, progress reports, and customer relations are nothing short of stellar.

I am kind of broken up about you no longer finding my cue to be your favorit. But your cue is pretty awesome too.

Josh

I figured Titlist as well. I also am planning on a replacement shaft for Bob to do on another cue that someone cut the ferrule off of to do a tip replacement. Lousy shop I used a long while back. It is for an old McDermott D-4 I'm gonna use as a break cue.

THanks again for the comments on my cue... I shot with it last nite and I am already used to it. Bob did such a great job with the hit and feel of what I was wanting.
Have fun with your upcoming cue. Keep me posted.

new stuff from Bob...

Hi all,
I have been looking at some of Bob's in process pics on his site. He is doing some great work with a 6 point cue and a matching set of JP's (points and all...) I hope he posts a pic on AZ or that the new owner does.
His work is phenomenal.
