BOB Owen I am waiting

to see pictures of my next cue, I know I am not expected this soon
I know it might be another month but I am getting anxious

At this time of year I remember how I used to
get so excited waiting to get up on Christmas morning and
get my surprises.

My parents bought me a pool table one year, about 2x4 ,a card table folding
lightweight model with clay balls about 2 inches
who would have known what would happen ?

My uncle, the black sheep of the family, came over and showed me a 3 rail
bank in the corner kick. I was astonished,I picked up the game
quickly.I kept that present for 10 or more years in my bedroom

now I find myself waiting to get another Bob Owen cue,my whole family
will gather around for the box opening ceremony. You might think
this would get old,as many cues as I have had,but it doesn't

My wife June says "I hope you keep this one", my daughter Kelly says,
How much will you sell it for? my grandson Calvin says"Is this one for me?"

Kinda predictable, but everyone runs their hands over it and admires the
beauty and balance, real squares who have never set their foot in a pool room,
but they love playing at home and the pool cues

LOOK AT BOB'S THREAD

TRIBUTE CUE TO SEE WHY I WAS EXCITED

Garczar,

Dean didn't do anything wrong since Bob will be posting photos in this Gallery and Mr. Owen can also add cue photos to this thread when the cue is finished.

Lots of people have posted on the Gallery about a future cue and then later return to post progress photos. I've done that myself and I was never singled
out for doing this. Rest assured, photos of the cue will appear on this very thread but you have to exercise some patience with Dean. If not inclined to do
so, then ignore Dean's thread but he's on solid ground presently with this post sans any photos. Assuredly the pics will eventually be added to this thread.

p.s. Dean, is this one from Bob going to use acrylic rings in the sleeve design?

Wait, Dean the meistro of no picture sales is, what?, asking for a picture of a buy? You gotta just trust it Dean, you won’t be disappointed.

It is pretty obvios that most of you never ordered a cue from Gus Szamboti
The conversation went something like this

"send me the money,I make you a nice cue"

no pictures,no nothing
At least this is how he treated Jack and me

Bob will be posting pictures on here soon

Balabushka Tributes with acrylic from Balabushka's own shop

wait and see something to make a grown man drool

The last Scruggs cue made for me was done the same way. I told Tim and Mike to make me a nice cue, and didn't want to see it prior.

i really think it was the common way back not
too long ago

possibly even today, call barry say I want a box cue and wait
at least that is the way i dd it

Not just szamboti,Scruggs,Mottey,Drexler does it both ways

Sometimes I ask for a really nice cue, sometimes I requst something specific

I find that the less input I have
the more I like the cue,but not always

I knew it..... I had a hunch this would be the design which is why I earlier wrote.....
"p.s. Dean, is this one from Bob going to use acrylic rings in the sleeve design?"

Hubba Hubba Hubba......with Bob tackling this design, it will truly turn out spectacular.
What color acrylic? My favorite tends to be red in a ebony sleeve & if I recall correctly,
you were more partial to green and blue acrylic rings. Regardless, when Bob is making
the cue, it will excite and delight since he is yet to release any new cue that hasn't been.

I thought Mr. Owen already made a matched pair of cues using the green acrylic
as rings in the sleeve, and green veneers in in the points.Which I would love to
own and play pool with.Beautiful cues

bob has some original acrylic in blue ,green and gold from georges shop

i sent it to him,but i prefer green and blue so i made the gold available to bob
for any request he might get

i wish i had some courtlin linen

bob always post pictures
i was just guessing it was almost time

if you always admired these Balabushkas with acrylic, call Bob
i will donate the gold ,many people prefer the gold,Matt likes red
but i had no red i think you can buy it new

the sentimental value of the original stuff made me happy

happy holidays to you guys
