I have one of his cues Diamond wood with two diamond wood shafts 10-11mm. Any clue to what its worth?

I have one of Bob's cues he gave me many years ago. What's so special about this cue (other than it's unique design) is that he told me the wood he used was a gift to him from Harold Worst years before. Yes, that Harold Worst! Bob appreciated so much a story I had written about Harold that he gave me the cue as a gift. Pretty cool huh!

Jay I am curious was the wood that was given to Bob from HW for the shaft?

The entire cue. It's all made from the same wood (Diamond wood). Check with Bob. I'm sure he can tell you more than me about it.

Hard hitting

Jay I called Quality billiards and he said Bob was no longer making cues and that he was up into his 80's.? He said they sold for around $500. What a solid hitting cue. Wish I had a snooker table to play on.

They are not diamond wood, they are made of dymondwood.
OR resin impregnated wood.
Way too stiff, heavy and too much cueball deflection imo.
Another brand made dymondwood cues , Spectre iirc.
They never really caught on as pool cue material.
Great for table rail tops though.

They must have a contact number for him. ??

Don't try to tell that to anybody from the San Diego area.
Topper is another company that made Dymondwood cues.
Both Spectre and Topper I believe worked for Bob at one time.
Bob has to be close to 90 by now.
I don't believe he is making cues any longer. He may have an aprentice now.
Quality Billiards did have some of Bob's cues left last I heard.
$500 would be a round figure. But would depend on where and to who you are selling it to. Here's my Dymondwood cue. Not for sale.:)

Thanks to chopdoc I know who made my cue and some history. Wow its so awesome. I love the way it hits. I thought it was a snooker cue but I guess it is a pool cue. Now I can tell everyone that its a pool cue and to stop making fun of me!!

I showed the cue to a friend the other day who never seen it. He asked me how it hit. I told him the first thing that came to mind. "For me ...it plays like a dream. For you. It's a nightmare"

They do play funny but once you get the hang of the small tip your can cut like edward sissorhands.

The pics are in my album!

For used ones, I tried to do some pricing research back in 2011. At the time the prices seemed to range from $300 to just under $500 on the used market depending on the design (from my recollection). It was hard to tell because it wasn't like there were a lot of examples; used one's just don't pop-up every day. I heard new pricing was about $500-ish.

I did buy a Renis cue at some point, it was a basic cue with one shaft, used and in moderate condition; the purchase price was $300. I originally bought it thinking I wanted to collect some cues, but later realized I didn't care to collect so I put it up on Ebay and it sold for $305 to a Renis collector. I guess $300-ish for a basic used Renis was fair market value for my specific cue.
