Bobby Hunter cue

I ran into Bobby Hunter at Red Shoes billiards south of Chicago. He was nice enough to let me hit with his personal cue for a while. His workmanship is really good and it had a good crisp hit. It hit fairly stiff. He was informative and knows how a cue should play. Deacon

I played with a Bobby Hunter cue in New London CT last week. It was awesome. Stiff but lively...just the hit I have wanted. The owner would not sell. I bought a fancy one at the US Open and expect delivery in a week or two. Pics to follow.

I have owned and played with atleast 6 or more of his cues; loved everyone of them.

He now has a new twist on his shafts that make them hit better then before, so if you have an old shaft call him to get one of his new ones they walk the dog so much bettter then before.

Just point and shoot......

Bobby Hunter hit a home run

Well I have my Bobby Hunter cue and I couldn't be happier. John Schmidt bought on of the fanciest Hunter cues after winning the US Open and he was kind enough to sell it to me.

The cue is firm and fairly stiff, but has a quiet hit. I played one pocket for a few hours and loved every minute of it. I highly recommend Bobby Hunter cues for their aesthetics, playability and for the fine person who builds them.

While I was playing, Ginky Sansouci walked into the poolroom. He picked up on the cue immediately and we talked for a while about it. This one grabbs attention across the room.

These are the same pics that were posted in the gallery. Sorry to be redundant but I wanted to add my review to Deacon's post.

That's one of my favorites so far I was buying a new truck when i first saw it at the shop but couldn't part with the cash at the time. Now I know who has it for the future if I dont have him build me one. Thanks for posting it up..

Kind of remind me the cue the Ewa M. Lawrence plays with. She plays with a BH. I have owned 3 so far. I just need to put my hands on a cocobolo BH and I promise I won't sell it. His coco cues are the best.

Haha, I remember seeing this cue before you got it! Bobby brought it to the pool room one night, along with a few other recent creations. He went into detail about working with silver as an inlay material. Amazing cue, for sure!

bump for cuemakers Hunter and gold

I have an Ernie Marinez, ebony forearm, silver rings.(2 shafts. Its spooky to have it look like A Cog,or Hunter. Except I have a 3/8-12 brass pin. And it is like 8 sided on the bumper and the pin. mark

I have owned a couple of Bob's cues they are very well made, and play real nice. Great ebony cues. Here are a few pics of a special Hunter cue I had for awhile, it is a special cue. Enjoy!

OK, quick trivia question for you Hunter fans.

How many silver stitches does Bobby use in his ringwork, vs. the Cognoscenti ringwork that Joey Gold uses?
