Bobby Pickle vs Johnny Archer

so far there is no information on it. There is a number posted in this thread but they do not know anything as of yet. Should be sometime this week
 
First of all it is 2-10ahead sets for $5,000 a set. Play not to exceed 8 hours in a day. Due to Johnny's arthrightious. Not spelled right. Tickets will be sold for $10 to watch. Personally Pickle needs the 6 but you never know on the bar box. I've seen Pickle out run the nuts many of times and have also seen him get thrassed. It's good for pool for someone even giving Bobby a chance to play this game. Bobby has beating several players in Cookeville these past 5 months and only has lost to 4 different players. Please do not ask who they were because I am not going to queer his action. This Archer game will take place soon. It will be advertised.

i didnt realize Archer had arthrites, where is it in his body?

again i hope the game happens, pool needs more action. big action,

Of course I read your post - you followed up the IF and EVEN with "Doesn't have a chance".

So my question is why should anyone bet the game even if one of the players "doesn't have a chance"?

You could simply have told everyone that you will take all bets if the match is even. You didn't have to follow that with your opinion that you have a lock.

To me when somebody does that they are simply saying that they don't expect to get any bets they just want to offer their opinion. Either that or they think that the HooRah will get some suckers to puff up and bet their emotions.

When I hear someone say that their guy is a lock even but they will only bet even then I have to ask what they are trying to accomplish.

Now, since Johnny is a lock to win I will take Pickle at 5 ahead. If Bobby gets to 5 anytime then I win. Should be no problem since Pickle has "no chance" right?

I will bet $1000 on this condition with you if you want to gamble. I know I have the worst of it but I have dogged it for far more in the past.

lol, I don't think you comprehend. Of course I don't think Bobby has a chance playing Johnny even, that is why I said the rail was open. It was in response to all the people that said they like Bobby. If a spot was involved then my opinion might have been different , but I specifically said " if they play even ". I don't give a shit about your conditional 5 ahead bet. If I would have wanted to gamble that way then I would have stated it. I simply stated that I liked Johnny's end of it in an even match. Now, if you would like to gamble that way, then I will bet as much as you would like up to your net worth.

I used to say that years ago I could always tell my net worth just by looking in my pocket.

I comprehend just fine. I understand that you only want to bet if you are stealing as your comment about Bobby having no chance indicates. I get it - your "condition" is that you want to steal if they play even and mine is that I want to steal if you give up five games.

You are blowing this way out and taking it personally. I already said that I think you were just making a statement rather than truly believing you were going to get someone to bet you even after you stated that Bobby has no chance.

If someone did that to me in the poolroom then I would call them a stone cold nit IF they were trying to truly bet with me. In fact I have done it more than once when people try and hoorah me into a bet. But I know when people don't really want to bet and they just use that form of barking instead of saying that they don't want to match up.

I once heard that a guy got called on his "net worth" bark in a poker game. The guy barking owned a bus company and was worth about 50 million. He got into it with another player and told him he could bet his "net worth" and the other player called him and beat him. The other player was a billionaire. That would be a good story for AZ if someone like you got called on your net worth bark and Bobby outran the nuts. We need some more legendary stories like that. I hope you find your sucker and for entertainment's sake I hope Bobby outruns it.

I'm not laying odds. I won't even be at the match. It would take a large bet and they would have to be playing even for me to go all the way to Cookville. But, even if I'm not at the match, I will still make a few sweat bets on here if they are playing even, just like Jay did on the Orcullo/Yang match.
