you can grind the end of it flatDoes anyone know where I can get a bottoming tap in the radial pin/ball screw/surgical screw size (3/8 X 6?) ? I have a ground nose tap (from Atlas) but it leaves to much unthreaded material at the bottom of the tap hole.
Thanks,
Stoney
I've cut down 5/16 ( sanded down to around .300 ) dowel to .250 thick and push that down( with epoxy ) the forearm after tapping the hole for the pin.
For the shaft, I leave it alone as I only use the long pilot radial now.
bought two and ground one down to make it a bottoming tap. run one and use the ground one second. its worth the extra 37 bucks
