Bought a Ob-2 Shaft off the bay....

I won a OB-2 shaft off the bay. I pay for the shaft immediately, which was 4 days ago. Have not heard anything back from the seller yet, after numerous messages to him. We both have 100% positive feedback (both over 100). Auction says estimated shipping date is Feb 1-2. I'm kind of worried he is not going to ship me the shaft because the auction went for lower than he wanted. Should i be worrying?:confused::grin:

That is frustrating. Some sellers communicate better than others. I'd give it ten days from date of purchase before opening a case with ebay.

I wouldn't worry yet. Its not Feb 2 and its the weekend, he might be away.
PayPal will back you up if its not shipped.

If he didn't have a reserve on it, he has to sell it for the winning bid or face a bad feedback. If ANYTHING goes wrong, Paypal will back you up. If anything, he would've contacted you trying to opt out of the sale. Wait untill Wed. and a reply from seller. If nothing, start a dispute on eBay or Paypal and you'll have your money back, lickity-split. Ron.

Thanks for the responses guys. I'm hoping i get this. I'd rather have the shaft then my money. I talked to paypal this moning and they told me that the claim can take up to 45 days to refund my money??? Hopefully it doesn't come to this.

I read on here a few days ago about a guy selling a cue on ebay and not getting what he thought he would get out of it. He tacked on like $80 for shipping to cover his loss....

I message the guy about what he would like to get out of it when there were no bids on the auction... He messages me back and says he wants $160 shipped via paypal. I decide to wait the auction out, and end up winning it for $110 shipped. I pay for the shaft immediately, which was 4 days ago. I'm kind of worried he is not going to ship me the shaft because the auction went for $50 lower than he wanted. Should i be worrying?:confused::grin:

I think the estimated time tells it all, today is only the 30th so maybe you should just wait a little longer before you worry.

You never really know whether or not to be nervous in this situation because there's people that dont stick out their word and there's others that actually do and you get what you wanted, it is very frustrating the best idea is just to stay calm and wait a while and then take action:confused:

I'll give it until the 2nd. Never had a prob on ebay before... Hopefully this won't be the first. Will post later and update. May need some of the regulars help on here as to what i need to do if and when i have to try and get my money back.

You can actually file a complaint for excessive shipping costs...it is a tactic that has been used before.

I don't think you can tack on an extra cost for S&H. Just like "Buy it now", the shipping cost are already set. You will maybe see a calculate for your zip code but other than that, it's a fixed price, either free, $10, $15, etc. There's a billiard store on eBay that sells things cheap with a crazy S&H price, ex; a cheap grade shaft for $9.99 and $30 for S&H to go one state over(not even Priority). I do eBay alot and never had someone up the S&H on me. I know when I sell something I throw in a few dollars to help all my fees. Ron

I would guess the 40 bucks less he is getting isn't worth messing up his 100% feedback. I know it wouldn't be worth it for me. He'll probably ship the item to you within the stated timeframe and making an issue out of it before the stated ship time would be jumping the gun imo.

Best of luck, I hope you get the shaft.

Errr, I hope you get the item, you know what I meant. :)

You can also look at what items the seller has sold in the past and what the reviews are. I strongly suspect there is a good reason for him setting the shipping date to Feb 2 for no other reason than wanting confirmation that he has received money through pay-pal. I wouldn't worry until 1 day after the mentioned shipping time. I suspect you will feel better about the transaction after reading his reviews.
Just my thoughts. Mike

i noticed fed-ex said the due to the snow in the midwest some packages could get delayed.

Finally contacted me and said he shipped it out saturday!! I was kinda getting worried after no response for almost 5 days... lol. Anxiously waiting for this to get to my door...
