Where Ya Been?

Will,

Thanks for sharing pics of your cues, althought I will have to say the pics don't do your incredible collection and showcase justice. Hope all is well and you are enjoying the summer with the grandchildren. Hope to see you more at Shooters in the fall.

Take Care

My Modest Collection

Hey Will

Thank you very much for sharing these pics of your amazing collection sir, it would be mighty cool to see what other box cues you have since I am always looking for inspiration for my next cue

As I had briefly communicated with you previously on Facebook a while back, I am also a fan of box cues and of course it was a Josswest copy of the Ed Kelly Cue, then the Gus Szamboti 'Snap' cue that started it all for me, especially from having owned an Ebony/Ivory copy of the G Szam for a short time.

I am finally starting to enjoy the art of collecting cues and although they are all made by my cue sponsor, I still value them as pieces of functional art and they shoot every bit as good as they look.

1st Box cue is a copy of one that I believe Andy Gilbert had built with Amboyna Burl and Ivory, but since I'm a sucker for Ebony cues, I naturally went for the Gabon Ebony option and although I have owned it for just over a year, it is my favourite cue to shoot with and I plan on having an extra shaft made for it.

2nd Box cue is one I designed that if largely inspired by the G Szam 'Snap' cue, but I wanted to have a few small changes to make it a bit more unique and individual to my own tastes and I'm really happy with how it turned out.

All the cues are built by Joel Dadivas in the Philippines and I am waiting on another cue to be finished for me and so, hopefully it will be finished soon so I can enjoy adding it to my slowly and surely growing collection.

My wife keeps asking me when I'm going to sell them and of course she always gets the same answer..... Never!

Thank you again for sharing and God Bless my friend :)

Willie

Welcome to the world of cue collecting. You have a very nice start to a collection there. Beware as it can get addictive. Also thanks for reviving a great thread with some awesome cues in it.

Thank you very much, I am very lucky though to have a good sponsor that I enjoy working with and hopefully, I will continue to be blessed to get some more cues from time to time :)
