Boyes vs Robles

Joe and John were the nuts. I would watch those guys all night. Joe asked some very insightful and knowledgeable questions. As you would expect from a pro he was awesome in the booth. I like John in the booth because he is upbeat and has a good delivery to go with his experience. Great team. I can not see how any reasonable person can listen to last nights commentary and think Sigel is an asset. Amazing player, not a guy I would want to spend time with and in the end that is what you are doing when you watch.

Agreed entirely. Pool as a sport is lucky to have someone like Joe Rogan, who is a professional commentator and also knows enough about the game to ask insightful questions and keep the commentary on track.

John was especially good considering that he had just lost a tough match and Mike wouldn't shut up about it.

I thought I was watching Golf for a while there, all I was hearing was putting, Irons, Tiger Woods. Joe certainly made it fun to watch. Sigel seemed like he had no idea who Joe was.

JCIN,
I agree with the general consensus that 'meme mike' sucks in the booth. I thought the booth boys missed numerous opportunities to listen in on the mic'ed players in the 14.1 match. "The Chirper" was in full flight explaining his own table lay outs and it would have been interesting to have the option of listening to the players or the booth. JCIN, how much of a hassle would it be to offer that option to us puter viewers???
Huge hassle.

Only way I can think of to offer audio and video options is to run seperate streams. I am sure there is some web guru out there who can do it another way but I don't know him.

I am going to Olathe this weekend for the Midwest 9 Ball event at Shooters. I will try a few things and we will see how they work. I have a couple of ideas that might be pretty cool..

TELL ME ABOUT IT!

It was excruciating having to listen to someone talk about nothing but how great he is! We got no quality commentary at all. No insights into the games, no nothing. I'm not even a Grady commentating fan, but I would have rather listened to him. At least he tries to talk about the game at hand. Rogan and Schmidt were great to listen to. Hell even scary drug dealer guy tried to talk about the players and the game in progress, but you could always count on Mike to circle it back over to himself again!! BRUTAL!

WOO HOO! TR's already on a plane flight home. Playing this match must have been brutal for both of them!!
After reading this entire thread, I am sooooo itching to see a match between Tony and Mike. Tony would have to kick ass like he's never kicked it before.

Yea Tony!!!!

Plus you get rep from me for staying up to watch your man play!

There is no where else I'd rather be ....

though when TR missed that 9-ball, I was so devastated, I had to go buy cigs and missed the next two racks as I just couldn't watch! I was shaking!
