Bracket Updates - Do it when you say ...

I don't mind waiting for Bracket updates as long as
they are not too far apart, BUT please do them when
you say you are going to do them per the frontpage
of AZ.

Don't tell one thing, and then not do it till a half a day
or day later.

It said per the frontpage that the brackets would be
updated THIS AFTERNOON, and it is going on 5:30 pm
EST. I hope they make it by 6 because after that I
consider it evening, and I have to go play in a tournament
tonight.
 
In the losers' bracket side, Mike Davis beat Marcus Chamat.

Corey Deuel and Danny Basavich also suffered a defeat and are out of the tournament.

Keith McCready plays tonight at 11:00 p.m., but at the time of this writing, I don't know who he will be playing. It looks like it will be either the winner of Reed Pierce's match and the player who took down Corey Deuel.

Right now, the Steve Mizerak tribute dinner is in progress. I saw all of the U.S. Open Champions sporting their green blazers en route to the ball room. The dinner will be lemon-peppered chicken, green beans, salad, and chocolate mousse, with a cash bar on the side. Steve Mizerak let me snap his picture, and he is friendly to all of the railbirds like me!

Earlier today, I saw Brady Behrman get a police escort to the Holiday Inn, and I said to him, "What's going on?" He had to be escorted by the police because he was bringing in the payouts monies, over $100,000 I think in CASH.

That's about it for now.

Goddamn you're a whinner.... between you talking about how great a guy who didn't play would have done and the brackets not being updated fast enough....Mike has a job other than this site.

I hope you know that "Az"is not part of EST zone. So there for you can wait awhile longer and Mike still be correct.
Oh yeah, and stop bitching. The site isn't your waitress.

I am limited to doing updates when I receive them. I am posting them as soon as I get them, and sometimes I can't pinpoint an exact time as to when they will be to me.


At least his message was not as bad as the email I got from one friendly user who took me to task for not having online brackets that rivaled the ones that the European Championships had earlier this year. Went into detail explaining how dumb it was to have something that wasn't the latest and greatest state of the art.

While I do want to update the brackets to something more current, I thought the email was a little over the line.

Mike, the site is great. Over the last few years I've watched it grow, it is "the place" for pool information. Thanks for all your work!
 
I thank you very much too, and still wonder how you keep up with all of it! At least you know that you have many people that rely on you for so much info on these great events!
I remember the finals of the WPC and many of use relied on your member from Japan (can't remember his name) - maybe someone can remind me who that was, who was giving play by plays by the minute! We couldn't even wait til the end of the matches to hear the score!
Now I think if we ask AZB for instant play by plays on all games and matches, that may be a bit much! haha (hey, but that's an idea!)
I think everyone just enjoys and depends your sight!
 
Mike, We appreciate the brackets and understand the problem with updating them. You can only do what you can do! Jennie keeps us pretty much up to date anyways!
gotta run... time to go check the brackets.

I'm sure Mike gave his best estimate of when he'd update the brackets. Mike does his best, and his best is the pillar on which this wonderful site rests. His best is what makes this the very best pool site on the internet. For all you do, Mike, thanks.
