I posted in ask the cuemaker also. More people probably read this so hope for an answer. I have a chance to buy 12 bd. ft. nice BR, but it is only 4-quarter. Since it is so scarce can it be laminated to build cues and is it good for points. I have laminated many hard woods and the seam is hard to see.
Any ideas on cost per foot. I have seen prices very high. Thanks, Bob
 
The seam would be difficult to hide on Brazilian Rosewood since the grain is very pronounced.
Laminated maple is no big deal.

I don't think I would consider lamiating 2 pieces to make a forearm. And is Brz rosewood that different from Indian Rosewood?
 
30 years ago when I was in college I worked with Brazilian rosewood and I still love this beautiful wood. Back then it was hit and miss when gluing two pieces together because of its oily nature. It may not be a big deal now days with the new adhesives.
 
The cue on the right is Brazilian rosewood.
