I'm watching TAR and after each break there is a shot of an iphone showing the speed. Cool beans!! I had no idea.

According to the TAR chat it's not available for android yet and the link provided only has BB and IP listed as options so that seems likely right.

I'm not suggesting the above link is the best way to get this app, it's just what google brought up.

News to me, so I figured I'd pass it on. When its droidable, I'll have to have it.

i'm a easy sell, i bought it for my iPhone, if I ever break over 15MPH I will start about 400 threads bragging about myself, I break terriblle. Wores than I spell.

I'm glad its for iPhone, I havea droid as well and man that phone/service/apps has alot of bugs. ther coverage is better than ATT by far. But th user interface on the iPhone is less key strokes and more intuitive.

check out HowardForums.com

thats where all the cell phone geeks hang out, there are more of them than pool players etc. were not geeks-well Disco maybe a little but he is my friend and part of the club.

best

eric :)

That looks awesome. I really want it but I made a pact with myself never to spend more than $2 on an app. Hmmmm

It is very cool! I have it now as well... Met the guy who created it today, great idea and product... It's in the app store I believe, check it out!

I just clicked the "tour" option at the top of the link provided. Great explanation of how this app works. I've been working on my break quite a bit for a year or better and without a doubt its "up", but I have no idea what the speed may be...I'd pay more then six bucks for this if I could could get it on droid.

Heck, take it to the pool hall and charge a buck for three measurments...it'll pay for itself twice over in one league night. All the heavy hitters will wanna know how fast is fast. I'd even bet it'll bring about some "break speed" action lol. You know how those pool players are after all.

One morning bump since I posted this late last night and it found page 2 already. I have no vested interest in anybody buying it, but I hope everybody gets to see it exists. Cool stuff me thinks.

Saw this yesterday. I want to try it but I can't rationalize spending 5 bucks on something I'll only use once

waiting hopefully that the windows-version for notebooks is available soon.

I downloaded the app. My fastest time was 24.37 but that was really laying into it. I was averaging in the 19's.

I saw this while watching the stream last night and promptly purchased and started using it. I have never purchased an app for the iPhone and would not unless I thought it was worthy. I wanted to buy a radar gun and this is way cheaper.

It really works too. I hit different speeds and it picked up on the changes. It times the sound between when you hit the cueball and when it hits the rack, but you have to "calibrate it first". Don't have any hesitation if you are thinking about it.

...if you only want to find out how fast you break now. But if you actually want to increase your speed then having a tool like this would be invaluable.

I hope it comes out for the android soon.

This is fairly easy to do with any computer. Here are the instructions:

Thanks for the link,

I bought the application through the App store and it was only .99 cents.

Never mind, I must be blind, I just checked my history and I paid $5.99 for the app. I think I am going blind!!!
