Breaking with Revo

There is a guy on my APA/CPA team who is SL 3. He plays (and also breaks!!!) with Predator Revo cue, chalks with $30/cube Kamui, etc. I think he is looking for advice on what else he can buy to improve his game :-)

1. what does the title have to do with the post?

2. what's your skill level and what equipment do you use?

Are you asking for a "friend"?

Does your "friend" know your making fun of him?

He's obviously an APA 7 who's sandbagging, no way someone with expensive equipment can play bad.

Is there a reason you couldn't or shouldn't break with a Revo shaft? Please Isaac, fill us in.

So basically you posted just to slyly look down on somebody who chose to buy a nice cue and some expensive chalk because you don't think he's a good enough player to justify it? Nice team spirit.

He wrote CPA so it's even more expensive considering the conversion. Lol

I use magic chalk and break with my Mezz player.. I hope that's ok with everyone here

I use OB Chalk and break with OB Rift.

Just so we are all on the same page.

I really don't understand the intent/purpose of your post other than it appears you are enviously of his finances.
I personally break with a medium tipped Revo and shoot with a soft tipped Revo
I am currently a APA 7/9 but even at the lower ranks I always shot with nice cues.
I had the money to buy what I wanted and the nice cues had a specific purpose for me. They eliminated an excuse; no matter what happened on the table it was NEVER the equipments fault, I personally eliminate the option of it ever being the cue, the shaft, the tip, or even the chalk...

I am the highest ranked player on my specific teams but maybe I still need to search the forums to see if I have a teammate like you so I could change them!

I played and broke with my Cuetec 360-R or my less than $300 Viking...for many years. I put my own LePro tips on. Johnnyt

I decided to cave in and buy a BK3 the other day. They asked me for a league sheet, verifying that I was higher than a 5. Once I signed a sworn affidavit, and provided credentials, they sold me the cue.

Joking aside, I'd have never tried or bought the BK3 if it wasn't for the 2 4s on my Monday team that have them. I decided to try their cues out, and was sold at the end of the night. I'm actually thankful when lower ranked players have really cool stuff. They always want me to try their cues out :)

Good point, it was a lower ranked player's Revo shaft that sold me.
I wanted one but may not have ever pulled the trigger until the S/L 4 showed up with one.

Someone send me a Revo with a radial joint. Thanks

We have a guy here that machined quick connection down to flush with the collar and simply ran a radial tap thru the existing thread.
The hit feels fine (to me) and it rolls true so I suppose it's an option.

What's a Revo?

I think they had that hit song in the 80's, "Whip It"
