I bought this cue on eBay last month and had my friend John Nemec show it some love. He used the entire cue for the conversion. We Had to add a small plug at the joint to get some additional length but we even used the old shaft. Here are some pics.

This cue was on my watch list while listed on eBay. Although I never placed a bid, I am glad it found a home with someone who is bringing it back to life. The fact that your using the original shaft is even better! Nice pickup, I can't wait to see it finished up.

i saw the cue yesterday and it looked much better than your pictures
he gotthe points even, and everything looked great
please post again when you getthe finished product

i assume he is going to put finish on it

i really like the joint and the collars

john is one heck of a great cue maker, trouble is he is too smart to
be content with simply making cues

this guy is a real engineer and somewhat of a genius
right now he is conducting an experiment to determine exacly what length cue i should play, and what taper screw etc

you have a really nice cue,i wish i had an old 26 and half also
i like the mother of pearl on the butt

Thanks Dean! I am looking forward to getting the cue and playing with it! I am doing a finish but I have always like the threads with progress pics. I will post the finished product when I get it. BTW I thought about a wood pin but it is a little to weird it is a normal stainless pin and ivory joint.
