Glen, it's there a way for him to find six matching rails on the gold crown 3s. If they had the got rails in one pile, the head rails in another and so on, is there a serial number on them to indicate they are from the same table?

Yes, all the rails and skirts have production letters on them that match them up in sets, always fount on the bottoms do the rails and back side of the skirts. The leg pedestals have them stamped into the wood paneling right by the top spreader bolt hole. None on the ball box tray that I've ever seen.
 
Slates are a different story, and can easily be mixed up if not marked in sets to begin with, and could have been mixed up from the get go.
