Just finished..... brazillian rose wood and amboyna burl. Bone notched diamonds. G10 pin. 12.5mm UltraSkin tip with a clear slice. 18.5 oz...........

Nice cue!

This is a great looking cue. I like the unusual segmented forearm and the large diamonds on the butt sleeve. It's excellent visual balance. The colors are nicely complimentary too.
Good job!

Looks nice, those diamonds are very cool, I dig the colors and the overall look of the cue!

I like this more every time i open this thread... do you have a "signature" look yet? that forearm is unique!

Funny you should ask that.... part of my "look" is the longer than normal butt sleeve. That developed to give more room for points in the butt, before I became inlay capable.

This latest cue brought out a guy that suggested that I stick with the the rather unconventional section in the middle of the forearm. That was done because I only had short pieces of BRW.... I might try another one to see how it would look with the points going right through it....... I do put my "W" in the butt instead of hand signing like I used to.

Good stuff! It's always neat trying to figure out the best ways to salvage good wood when you can. I have some sneakies and old butterflies that I've found, and I will need to "move" the points up by adding a buttsleeve so I can get the right joint diameter.

That's a clever way to use your forearms wood and it looks cool too IMO. I cut up some oak recently and was only able to salvage at most 11 inch pieces (too short for foreams that i'd initially hoped for). They will end up being segmented handle wood most likely.

Btw, I like the idea of a longer butt sleeve, as a lot of people grip their cues behind the wrap in that area.

I never noticed the longer butt sleeve, but I suspect that is one of the many things I like about your cues so much.
