Budweiser Sponsors Sigel in Florida

I wonder if this is a FL Bud distrib/bottler or the national corp. In any case it's good to see beer companies as sponsors. Johnnyt

This may be true, but they obviously have marketing agents all over the world finding places to stick their logo.

My question is, did they sponsor Mike Sigel himself, or have they become a sponsor of the GPPA league as an entity?

I am a firm believer that any future pool may have will come up from the leagues. And if the GPPA as a league is finding a way to be successful in finding sponsors from outside the pool industry (arguable for beer) then I wish them the best of luck.

Carl...I don't disagree with you. This is essentially the same thing as when Pepsi was a 'sponsor' of the US Open 9Ball tournament. It is a local distributor, allocating local funds for local promotion. I have no doubt that the sponsorship is a result of efforts by the local league operator...and good for them!

Good for Mike and hopefully it will be good for pool in the long run. Now maybe Mike doesn't have to ride KT's coat tails.

I always liked to watch Sigel play. After watching a demonstration of the rules in his new league I like the format. It's good to see him lining up a sponsor.
