Here is one I just finished up.Let me know what you think about the bumperless setup. There is a brass collar that sticks out 1/8" with the wieght bolt flush to it kind of acting like a bumper.

That's a sweet looking cue, Joe...Awesome work! One day I'll touch base with you about building me cue.

metal ring.

Joe,

It looks like the metal (maybe brass) ring around the weight bolt does not fit flush with the butt. This is the first cue I've seen with this design. My questions is; with proper care, one, would not have to worry about damageing the metal??? By the way, I really like the style of the cue a lot.

In his description he notes the brass collar.

That is a sweet looking cue. I have been wanting to build a cue without a bumper but i have a "heavy hand."

This is the bumperless Joe just completed for me. I think it turned out great. I'll have to be very careful, but I just love the look.

First bumperless is not for everybody.I personally would want a bumper just so I am not thinking about damage to my cue instead of making balls and winning a few racks.I thought that the metal sticking out alittle may help keep the butt cap from getting marked up as much.I think I will play with the cue for a while and see what happens.Hope this answers your question jdsons. Thanksfor all the comments everybody.

Sorry gang.

Sorry all,

I got so memorized by the great photos of an even better cue, I did not see the description. My questions were answered. Joe C is the man. His bumperless is "off the chain."
