Burn hole 860hr

Hi guys, got this burn hole from cig ash. I put a drop of super glue on it to prevent from getting bigger anything else i can do ?
Got lucky doesn’t affect play. Thanks for any advice Floyd.

Not really anything you can do to fix it. The glue might break apart and behave like chalk dust.

It should be fine until your next recovering. Don't smoke over your table lol
 
I put a 1” long knife cut in my simonis 860 about 5 years ago, right near the break spot. It never grew. I didn’t do anything to it. Quite impressive.
 
Smoking, drinking or eating on my table would get you uninvited, forever. I have a sign of "house rules" that stipulates removal or termination depending on how cranky I am.

If I ever saw anyone set a drink on my table it is possible that I could go on a killing spree. :)

And a jury would sympathize. Anyway good excuse to quit smoking. I went from 2-3 packs to done. Quit for 1 day in Jan 1989 and never smoked again. My breathing still sucks but its better than nothing.

About the only thing you can do to fix it is to find a 1" barding needle (looks like a fish hook but with a hole in the end for sewing) and some proper blue sewing thread.
Give yourself 2-3 threads beyond the outside of the burn mark and don't pull on the thread too hard.
Getting the cross stitch towards the rail is not going to be much fun.

I better just leave alone before i make it worse. Thanks every one , don’t let drunk friends smoke around table !!!!!
I must admit i have to quite smoking thanks for the shares.

You could rob some cloth from down inside a pocket and cut it to size and glue to the table to fill the hole. I've done that when my breaking practice caused a hole to form. It worked better than I thought it would.

Great suggestion thank you . Cut out the burn edges fill in with same cloth.
 
buy new cloth for the entire table. ive been thinking about that for decades.

im only old enough to remember it as corner billiards and now amsterdam.
