Burned on Ebay

I purchased a cheap cue because....hey it was cheap and it looked interesting to me. I figured it would be a good cue to try doing my first inlays.

its been almost a month since I paid and still no cue. I FINALLY got an answer from the guy and he said his car broke down, and he cant get a ride to the post office. When asked for a refund...he said he didnt have the $ to send it.

Anyways here is the cue. Can anyone tell me what it is? I know its not a Meucci, as I have only seen 1 gambler with a Stainless Collar and it had Points. Sorry this is the only picture he had on the auction...like I said it was cheap.

Thats absurd, do it now. It is obvious he is riping you off and the longer you let it go the harder it will be to get it resolved.

Maybe. Its a total of $18.00 its not THAT bad. My real reason for posting this thread was to see if I could get the cue identified....Just incase I dont get it for whatever reason.

Just by looking at the picture provided the cards look too detailed to be inlays. My guess is a decal cue.

I hate ebay. I'd love to start a huge ebay problem thread somewhere. My new method is craigslist + time.

I had a really bad experience on ebay with a guy that was late in shipping, then it turned out he lost my item, one that I obviously NEEDED on time. I ended up giving him bad feedback, I mean what else is the damn feedback for other than knocking somebody who can't ship something out? Then he gives me a bad feedback (and mind you I paid immediately after the auction)!! I think ebay changed their policy on this, but isn't that just admitting the system is faulty? And ebay would not reverse it either.

Craigslist + time has worked great for me. If you don't have patience it's not an option though.

That cue was sold under the Crest brand (and maybe others) at chain retailers like Sports Authority. Cue probably dates from the mid-90's or so.

Inexpensive (probably $30 - $45 new) and imported from China. Many of them warped like crazy. If yours happens to have stayed fairly straight, its really not too bad for use by casual players.

yeah I would do it asap bud..Paypal only gives a 45 day grace period..After that they wont do anything about the transaction..You can always just close the case when and if the cue shows up..

Report it now you can always remove it, but from his lame excuses I don't imagine it's the first or last time he's done that. Can't get a ride to the Post Office, how about putting the flag up on your mailbox or just flagging down your local postman.

My guess would be a china import decal cue. Good idea using it for practice inlay work.

The cue is an inexpensive {read cheap} knock off. File a dispute with PayPal.
