The 2nd Bushka II Project brought to life by Dean Campbell is sold out (10 cues).
The inaugural Bushka Project last year was so interesting & fun to observe unfold.
The next promises to be just as exciting & I'm fortunate to be in both of the projects.

New cue photos can be added to this thread as several cues are already underway.
Here's a cue from the 1st Bushka Project (a repro of below cue but a leather wrap).
In my opinion, a splendid replica of the cue that Willie Mosconi enjoyed playing with.

For those who missed getting in on this project, I heard Dean could be doing another
project next year & take it from me, it's never too early to inquire with Dean about this.

Matt B.

p.s. This cue is not mine & is just a classy one from Bushka I Project (cue #5 as I recall).

Awesome cue. I enjoyed it and the process and it was a pleasure. Cue now resides in China I believe.

How is making clones of Bushkas innovative OR original?

How is making clones of Bushkas innovative OR original?

I don't think he was talking about the cues themselves, more the group buy aspect of getting a bunch of people together to do a series of cues around a central theme.

10 Custom Bushka Designs.......Each & Every Cue Different.......Wow!

Mia......slide was exactly right.....thanks slide.......

10 Customer Specified Bushka Design Cues made for a special, ltd. group of buyers.... pretty original.
All of the Schon Tribute Cues (Deanoc again) were the same design cues......not 10 different versions.

So naturally, a Bushka design cue is hardly an original design pool cue and certainly is not innovative.
However, making 10 Bushka cues at the same time with 10 entirely different designs, that's pretty rare.
Then arranging for a terrific pool cue price using a group purchase is pretty innovative as far as I can tell.

I'd never seen any cue-maker undertake a project like this at the request of a customer, versus say the
cue-maker deciding to produce a series of limited edition cues. And usually those cues would be alike,
i.e., the same design, like with an anniversary cue. However, these 10 Bushka cues will use customer
specified designs which is unique....ten (10) "custom cues" by any definition and in every single aspect.

For your entertainment pleasure, here's another of the 10 custom Bushka cues from Bushka I Project.
The workmanship on these Bushka cues has been outstanding & the designs have been knockouts too.

Oh My......What a Beautiful Design by DVS

Dave,

The sleeve design and rings you designed look absolutely amazing on paper.....can't wait to see this pool cue come to life.

Here's one more cue from the first project......in fact, this was the very first cue released of the 10 Bushka cues.........Mike, this is a truly great Mosconi design.

Bothof these ring cues are hard to beat
i owned two original bushkas with rings

tim scruggs, schon ,verl horn, bob owenand jerry all made me tributes
it would not be hard to think that they are my favorites

if i sell what i own i am going to buy another one

there is something timeless about the design

jerry does such good work on these designs that my decision
is leaning his way

i am thinking about green rings, green in the veneers and agreen spot wrap
with green abalone

what do you guys think/?

Very simple

Mine will probably be considered boring compared to the others. I just got my first pic. Very, very excited.

If someone can tell me how to make the picture bigger, I will add another one.

I never find a cue of this caliber boring....I actually like simple cues the best in many ways and love seeing them done well. Can't wait to see how it ends up.

Wish I was in on this one...the installment plan was a tempting option that also got me to pull the trigger even though I really can't afford it.

poolpro2........Dave is right.........cue designs from Jerry are hardly boring. The ebony wood he uses for points is a gorgeous black and shines like the sun on a lake and are like needle syringes when it comes to being sharp.......so are the veneers.........and the balance is amazing.

Slide13.....I was chatting with Jerry about some stuff last week and I got the feeling that this won;t be the last of these cue projects with him. I know once the project is done, he's relieved and eager to tackle something new. However, classic cue designs are something that is so fetching and Jerry is so darn good at making them that I think he can persuaded by Dean to tackle another challenging project.

A little birdie told me earlier tonight that one of our esteemed group members should be getting a Christmas present a little early.......like before Thanksgiving and this cue is......well, let's just say pretty special. When you hopefully see photos of the cue posted on this thread, even though it isn't a Bushka project cue, you'll get to enjoy a design that's truly one for the ages.

Definitely not slighting the craftmanship...

I am more than stoked for this. I have seen lots of Mr Rauenzahn's work, the opportunity to do this was something I could not pass up.

For me this will be the most incredible cue I own, I was just putting it out there that it is on the simpler side compared to what I have seen.

The first project had some great designs. I hope mine will do the project justice... I know the execution will be fantastic.

I have never been in on the build of a cue before, as Bavafongoul said this is pretty cool.

Balabushka # 1

Got this one from Dean, Jerry Rauenzahn's version of Willie Mosconi's Balabushka.
