***** Business trip to Iowa - Will Need Pool fix - HELP *****

Hey everyone I need your help!!!
My boss (the SOB) just told me I have to make a business trip that his son did not want to make to Iowa.
Don't get me wrong I don't mind going to Iowa, I've been there and found some great places to eat and party, there's great people. Never had much time to play pool and I like meeting pool players everywhere. It gives me a chance to lose to someone new LOL
I will be going to Sioux City, Council Bluffs, DesMoines, Davenport, then Cedar Rapids, it's a 2 week trip and I would appreciate anyone letting me know of any good bars, poolhalls, expecially ones that have good food and that may be running a tournament on the weekend. I'll be in Council Bluffs and the Omaha area the 3rd and 4th of May. I'll be in DesMoines 5-6-7th of May then Davenport the 10-11-12th. The weekend of the 8th & 9th I'm open for any tournaments that any place has.

I really need your help!!!

Big tournament in Des Moines on May 1st, there's a friday tournament at Big Dogs on May 7th that's 10-Ball on the bar table and starts at 7PM. There are usually a few guys in the pool room that will play out of town guys unless you are a champion. Always welcome to come bark on the "Update on Des Moines Pool Scene" thread in the main forum if you want and find a game.
 
If you swing into Davenport early or can't find a tourney, we have a weekly 9B ring game every Saturday. You're welcome to pick our pockets. It's at Miller Time Billiards (2902 E Kimberly Rd), but they are about to change ownership & name. I'm certain the game will continue on.
 
Thanks guys for the suggestions. I've been busy getting ready to go. If anyone has anymore places I will be logging in at nite before I head to the pool halls and or bar to play

Big Dogs in Des Moines is the place to go.
 
Since you mentioned Cedar Rapids, there are tournaments at Second Avenue Corner Pocket every Tuesday, Friday and Saturday nights. Start at 7, $5 entry fee. Short race to 2 so anyone can win. Usually around 20 sign up.
