Busta breaks and runs.

Busta 20 shane 17

RUn out the set busta!

Busta flat racked himself and came up dry. But he left a big clluster in the table.

Shane plays a good safe but leaves an easy 1 rail kick for the hit, but the return safe looks difficult.

Busta kicks and shits a ball in! But now he has to kick again, but he leaves shane tough.

shane's one pocket pays off as he crossbanks a long shot to take control of the table. Shane makes mistake and crashes into balls when trying to go around them, but ends up with shot and gest back in line on the 8.

shane wins.

Busta 20 shane 18

Zepplin still playing, please turn it off!

Shane wins.
Busta 21 Shane 19

Go busta!

busta makes jam up curve spin shot on the 1, then plays the 2 and his rotation comes into the picture again as he caroms the 10 for the win!

I am not a computer geek, but I got this to work pretty well. I've got a portable that has a wireless internet communication from my desktop which has a DSL connection. This wireless communication was good enough. I had to work for over an hour to get the laptop to project the image to the TV, which should be simple but Dell has a few software kinks that had to be worked out. Then it was having some periodic trouble with caching, that is too much data, so I reduced the number of colors and this seemed to allow it to run better. The screen was going blank every so often, and I realized that my portable had some screen saver type issues, so I changed the settings so it would never go off or shut down the drive while hooked to AC, and that was the final problem solved.
So I got the watch the Busty-SVB match on my big TV live with audio. This is really amazing to me, and a portent of the future. I remember some 7 years ago Earl Strickland was playing in the finals of the US Open and I was trying desperately in a chat room to find out who won, that was the best you could do back then. And to watch a gambling match like this, historic, live on the big screen, all I can say is thanks TAR. Their commentary is so great too.

This is really bad. Any decent player would be STEALING from both at this point. i cannot describe how bad they are playing. Lots of missed 10 balls, much less all the others. Kinda sad to see. Hoping that at least one of them steps it up, cause this is painful.
if he plays like this against archer hes gonna get lite up like a christmas tree that being shane.

Shane's still the man......... I'll bet on him next time they match up! lol Coongrats on the Derby Ciity 9-Ball win.

According to the commentators they confirmed the bet during the match and it was 5k per player. Lots more on the side.

Leaving Louisville today. After eleven days here, I feel like a resident.

I worked the match last night from beginning to end, nearly four hours of pool with a 45 minute rain delay (fire alarm thing). It was like two different matches - pre fire alarm and post fire alarm.

Pre alarm they both sucked, to put it mildly, missing balls and position, and failing to get out time and time again. Post fire alarm they both played like champions, making all the shots and running out at every opportunity. Busty put together one four rack package that sealed the deal when he went ahead 18-14. Shane never recovered from that, mainly because he couldn't put together any packages of his own.

Prior to the match, several people asked me to handicap it for them. I said it was a pick 'em, but if I had to bet I would put my dough on Busty. Simply put, he is playing better pool right now than Shane. Strange huh, since Shane won the 9-Ball. Busty played great in the Fatboy Challenge and might have won it, but he overslept and showed up unprepared for his semifinal match.

Meanwhile Shane and Lee Van played a stinker in the finals of the 9-Ball. Sorry, but I am compelled to tell it like I see it. I even predicted a final score of 23-20 Busty. Missed by one there.

Working with Sarah and Fred was a treat. If I hadn't been having so much fun with them I would have gone to bed. Between the three of us we usually figured out the best strategy for each player to use. And we were right most of the time. Fred has gotten a lot of experience working TAR matches and it shows. He is becoming a very polished play by play man.

Sarah is very sharp as well, a good observer of player behavior and body language. She is very patient and waits to make her observations, which are usually right on. She was a good complemtnt to Fred and I. I kind of like having three people in the booth, especially in long matches like this one. It gives you an opportunity to take a break and the commentary continues to flow.

With any luck we will have TAR at the Swanee tourney next weekend. Tune in for that one, it should be good also. Many top players expected, plus some good ones you may not have seen before.
