Butt cutting schedule

Ok ... so we have fully discussed the shaft cutting time line and I promise that I will never wander off the path of proper cutting and waiting. I have the schedule nailed to the wall over my lathe.

How about the butt??

Lets say you only buy kiln dried pieces and a moisture meter shows 6% to 8% moisture.

What would be an acceptable schedule of turning the squares round, coring them with a laminated maple core, assembling them into a butt, Turning the butt to finished size, and putting on a finish???

Looking for expert advice here..... I have learned my lesson.

thanks

Kim

Well, here is a butt that is not a butt yet. Plus about 30 forearms and a shaft or two.
