I'm guessing he forgot the logo after finishing

Looks like he turned it down some to get a good surface to engrave the logo afterwards

Never heard of him, but that is terrible. If he is new he should not sell any cues for a while. If he’s not...

Looks like a new maker that is selling his stuff a bit too soon. One of these on Facebook also.

I've only seen one of these cues, not the same one, but it had many issues. Butt to joint face was off, wrap poorly done, really odd taper, etc.

He is not a new cue maker- was out of the biz for a while- came back in on eBay- new stuff is not up to par- I tried one- bad wrap job - big seam- not enough attention to detail but honestly- it played fairly well- I sold it though. Sells cues inexpensively considering the use of premier woods and elephant ear wraps on some. I believe he is a CA. guy and also a jeweler; originally trained to some degree by Bert Shrager in cue making.

exactly how this cue came to as did yours-- luckily y cc company refunded me full amount under "item not ad described" ill cut mine up for bird house decorations ..lol

Is this the same cuemaker? Difficult to believe that someone who produced the old quality work would turn this new schlock work out using his old mark. Why not market with a new mark, or no mark at all, rather than degrade his old mark?

I have a lot of empathy for cue makers selling too early. We have to recoup some of our money to afford more wood and hardware somehow.

It’s a tough hobby to grow into let alone turn into a business and profit from.

With that said he should have disclosed condition and level of skills and build. Setting the expectation is really important.

That tip, lol. Yikes.

I met him back in '96 when he brought cues to Best Billiards to sell . He's been around a long time .
