C J Wiley ULTIMATE POOL SECRETS

I just ordered one. I feel like I still owe CJ something (besides the fact that the DVD is probably gonna help my game).

My very first post on here did CJ a cruel injustice. The forum was all abuzz, still reeling from the death of Steve Mizerak. I couldn't figure out why in all the threads/posts talking about the Miz, that not one person has mentioned the recent passing of CJ Wiley. So my first post was an inquiry as to why no one was mentioning his death. I kinda got me a new a**hole ripped for reporting that piece of false information. Oops!!!

It took me a day or two, but I finally figure out what had happened. I had just gotten home from the hospital from my second shoulder surgery. My wife said that while I was in recovery, I was tossing and turning in the bed complaining vigorously of pain (to this day, I do not remember ANYTHING that happened in the recovery room). So, the staff gave me a SECOND dose of morphine. I musta been seriously dazed and confused (la-la land ) and must have dreamed about CJ's passing. It was so realistic that I even remember seeing it in the obituaries of the Dallas Morning News (which I didn't take or have any access to). Anyway, thank goodness it wasn't true! I do still feel bad over the incident though.

So, once again, sorry CJ!!! I bought your video and if I ever run into you in person, I want to shake your hand and offer a "live" apology.

Maniac
I assure you I'm alive and well in Dallas. The only "dead" I want to be is in DEAD STROKE...I am honored that you are dreaming about me....you are a beautiful girl right???lol ....now I'm the one dreaming.

Welcome to the board Mr Wiley,,
I have a question for you ,did you ever run with a fellow by the
name of Rick Thompson back in the day?

CJ's Ultimate Secrets DVD

Just to let everyone know this is the same three three videos that I produced a few years ago. It is NOT just a copy to DVD, but was professionally done where you can skip around chapters and ALL THREE videos are on ONE DVD. The original video was directed and filmed by Alin Bijan (Media World) who has done Documentaries for the Discover Channel, movies for HBO and many other high level projects, so the quality will stand up against any other pool video (the cost of making it was, no doubt one of the highest too:eek:).

I am in the process now of putting out the story and the video of Earl running the 10 racks in a row for the MILLION DOLLAR CHALLENGE (I have the last 5 racks on tape and NOBODY in the pool world has seen it.....except me:wink:) This is still the most money ever won for a match of pool. Imagine running 11 racks of 9-ball with a MILLION DOLLARS at stake...This PROVES Earl is crazy...in a good way of course...lol:wink:

There is an incredible story behind this historic feat and YES HE DID GET HIS MONEY. We went through two and a half years of litigation and I was under a confidentiality agreement and couldn't talk about it (or defend myself come to find out:frown:)

Hi ya CJ....After watching Bob Vanover run 9 racks and out in the finals of the Texas Open, I thought I had seen the ultimate performance. That is, until the Million Dollar Challenge. To see Earl's feat and being a part of the show, I feel I was blessed by the billiard gods.

Call me if you need any more info or details that might be blurry after so many years.

And let me get in line for any book or video that you have produced. Thanks, Robin Adair

someone is looking for you

CJ there is someone that posted in the Action forum looking for you. an old friend he said trying to get in touch with you.

No secrets? B.s.

If you still think that there are no secrets to high level play, you are living in your own world, doomed to mediocrity. This isn't a lambast as much as it is a wake up call to players of all levels.

Opportunity abounds all around you. Professional players have "SECRETS" and they don't always disclose them.

CJ has chosen to share MANY "SECRETS" in his video "Ultimate Pool Secrets".

Last night I went to the pool room to use his aiming system and one of my students appeared and I decided to incorporate him into my training of the aiming system. "Brian" my student quickly assimilated the information and was making balls very consistently for a player only playing recreationally for two years.

The first session of using CJ's aiming system was a big success for me.

I also tried some other of his many chapters with great success.

The video has 32 chapters and covers everything from the ground up starting with Pre-shot Routine. Each chapter has something of value to players of ALL LEVELS.

I'll let you know when I win my next tournament.

Welcome to the forums CJ. Hope you stick around and throw in some replies now and then. A pro's perspective is always welcome here. We already got plenty of fish perspectives :)

After hearing so many good things I'm ready to order the DVD. Are you legally able to release that Earl tape and info now? If so sign me up.

I just pulled the trigger on one. I had the VHS set, but I like DVD's much better.

Welcome to the forum, too, CJ!

Wow! it would take an army to prevent me from buying the Strickland Video. I took a group lesson and asked him about the final shot and it is exciting for sure.

Yes, I ran with Rick in my teenage years. He was a good and bad influence on me...lol
He was a better player than I was for awhile and then I remember we went on a trip that I won my matches and he lost his. We got back to his dad's bar and was arguing over who played better so we decided to play for $1 per game (plus pride) and I beat him out of $60. This was actually a turning point in my confidence and I went ahead and became one of the best players in the country after that. He is quite a character and I still to this day repeat some of the funny things he used to say. I hope he's doing ok..CJ

Thanks Robin. Yes, I have the rights to the video and the legal issues have been resolved long ago. I really want to do a documentary on the whole series of events that led up to him running those 11 racks. Someone said the odds were better to get struck by lightning INSIDE a pool room (and believe me I felt like I had been "struck" by something..lol)
I am open to suggestion as to what to do with this video because I really think everyone should see the MOST HISTORIC EVENT IN POOL's HISTORY.
There were several people there that I would like to use in the documentary including yourself, Jay H.(who racked the last 5 racks) and even Earl Himself  (O.M.G.lol) If anyone else was there let me know or if you have any great suggestions on how to introduce this HISTORIC SECRET....too bad a lot of people now a days don't even know this happened. It certainly changed my life and the life of others!!! CJ

JoeyA, I agree. I got mine several weeks ago and have since shared a couple of e-mails with CJ.. He is a super nice guy and the DVD is FULL of new information that definitely woks. CJ shares so much in this DVD, it's sick.

Gotta say, of all of the instructional material that I have purchased over the years, this is by far the best bang for my buck, hands down. Trust me, I have spent many $$$$ too.

As you said, CJ is definitely the real deal!

Peace, JoeyK

Thanks Joey, I appreciate what you're saying and am getting the burning desire to put together another DVD that goes into more detail on some of the major secrets. Once someone understands how the pre-shot routine works for them, the three part pocket system and aiming system will "fall into place". Just like pro golfers make the targets bigger by increasing their margin for error (by how they curve the ball towards the target). The pro pool players do the same thing. I have shown and proved to amateur players that one BIG reason they can't compete against a player like me is that the pockets I shoot at are almost TWICE as big as the ones they're shooting at AND THEY'RE THE SAME POCKETS. I really started to understand this at a high level working with Tiger Woods (x?) Coach Hank Haney. We used to trade Pool Lessons for Golf Lessons and I started to understand how the games related as far as increasing margins for error. When I miss a shot it still goes in, but when others miss a shot....well they have to sit down....this is a HUGE ADVANTAGE....AMEN;)

Well I never paid for the old VHS. Just borrowed from a friend so I'm happy to pay finally and it will be nice to watch after all these years. It really is great.

I'm glad you are enjoying your new DVD's....if you have any questions I am available on face book CJ.WILEY7 , just send me a friend request if we're not already friends  CJ

Joey A. nailed it. The dvd is all he said, the biggest bang for the buck. I just gave it to my grandson , I know Wiley can teach him a lot better than gram-paw. Man it would have been great to have had something like this when I started. Skip

Getting a thumbs up from Gram-paw means a lot to me. I know you wouldn't give your grandson something you didn't really believe in. I also wish I could have learned these secrets off a DVD instead of having to go through the thousands of Heads Up Matches it took to learn it on my own.

I want to give a special thanks to those that helped me learn the secrets...Omaha John, Dalton Leong (the Chinese Zen Master/Pool Hustler)Strong Arm John, Doug Smith, Roger Griffis, Rusty B. Junior Weldon, Efren R. Arkansas Calvin, Tony Fargo, Billy (Wade Crane) Johnson, Frisco Jack, Strong Arm John, Tommy Rey, Vernan (the faceless man) Elliot, Spanish Mike, and many more...Thanks For Helping Me Discover the Secrets :)

Is it redone for DVD or just copied from VHS?

How is the picture quality?

Is it broken down into chapters?

I have some VHS that were put onto DVD and if you stopped you could not continue from that spot. You had restart from the beginning.

This DVD was professionally done and is broken down into chapters. There were ones bootlegged out of China that were VERY CHEAPLY made. The picture quality on mine is very good and I'm sure you will be very happy. Any questions you can contact me on face book at CJ.WILEY7 ...thanks for you interest and good luck with your pool game....CJ :)

CJ

Having been in the publication/production business for many years the biggest obstacle of many that you face is your own vision and the advice you might get from people who don't understand the equation.

The costs and time needed for a high quality film/docu is astronomical and what you end up with might not even end up being what you wanted or marketable. Honestly you're probably a novice in this type of industry. And financially it is truly the longest of all long shots.

You certainly have a little piece of history that a small marketplace would probably be interested in but don't overvalue (net dollar wise) what you have.

Come up with a reasonable goal and scope that CAN be accomplished and work from there.

I've seen a lot of big ideas ruin people who don't understand the business of what they're doing. Good luck with the project. I for one would buy the dvd. But it's not worth jumping into a money pit that could ruin you. M

I certainly wouldn't be doing it for the money. One of my best friends does documentaries for the Discover Channel and I would be relying on him for the expertise required. This is a historic event and I just feel responsible for delivering it to the public in the best way available to me. Who knows what will happen, but I believe, with the best intentions great things will happen. I think this project can be done for less than $20k..best regards

Well i'm glad to see you have professional help. You're certainly ahead of the pack having that expertise. It will be interesting to see what you can get done for 20K. Looking forward to receiving your instructional dvd. Thanks.
