C J Wiley ULTIMATE POOL SECRETS

Just to let everyone know this is the same three three videos that I produced a few years ago. It is NOT just a copy to DVD, but was professionally done where you can skip around chapters and ALL THREE videos are on ONE DVD. The original video was directed and filmed by Alin Bijan (Media World) who has done Documentaries for the Discover Channel, movies for HBO and many other high level projects, so the quality will stand up against any other pool video (the cost of making it was, no doubt one of the highest too:eek
/QUOTE]

Thanks for the info. Sounds like a great DVD and reasonably priced.

What brand of cue do you use? A few years back I was ordering a cue from Mike Johnson and I think at the time he told me that was making you one.

This DVD was professionally done and is broken down into chapters. There were ones bootlegged out of China that were VERY CHEAPLY made. The picture quality on mine is very good and I'm sure you will be very happy. Any questions you can contact me on face book at CJ.WILEY7 ...thanks for you interest and good luck with your pool game....CJ :)

Thanks for the response CJ. The DVD's that I am referring to were not yours. They are from other players. The DVD's were so bad that they skipped and ended short. Paid a lot more than what yours is.

Yes, I ran with Rick in my teenage years. He was a good and bad influence on me...lol
He was a better player than I was for awhile and then I remember we went on a trip that I won my matches and he lost his. We got back to his dad's bar and was arguing over who played better so we decided to play for $1 per game (plus pride) and I beat him out of $60. This was actually a turning point in my confidence and I went ahead and became one of the best players in the country after that. He is quite a character and I still to this day repeat some of the funny things he used to say. I hope he's doing ok..CJ

He is quite the character still today.
I ask him one time so who played better you or CJ and i think he said he did until you went Chicago i think .After that i couldn't touch him,Somebody must of showed something is what he said.LOL
Rick was a very talented player but his bad habit wouldn't allow him
to go any further which is sad cause he could play and wouldn't wine
about nothing.
When he get's to talking about you'you can tell he has alot of respect for
you.
I will tell him you said hello...

hey CJ, I ordered your dvd this weekend!!!! just wondering how long it might take to get to West Virginia??? I am from Houston, where is your poohall in Dallas??? I went to one of the Dallas jams in the football stadium, I found a pool hall somewhere and went in to play. A guy was in there practicing his break, me being a real smart ass kid ask if he liked playing with himself, and said I would play him for a beer!!!!! Well he said ok and then snapped the 8 in the side!! I got his beer and racked, he did it again, same hole!!, got him another beer, racked, he almost made it again but it went off the side pocket tit and rattled out. he ran out!!! i got him another beer and told him I didnt know he was so thirsty and i pulled up!!!!!! Never got his name, but he had that break down!!! Thanks for the dvd!! You should get your buddy to put Earl on the Discovery channel, they had Johnny Archer on a program called sharpshooters, it was pretty good. it is great hearing your stories!!!! keep em coming??!!!

Sounds familiar except it was costing me five dollars a break when a young Johnny Archer was doing it. He won the coin toss and called the pocket the eight was going in, a corner pocket once then the side pocket twice, three times on the break. The side pocket was his sweet spot. The eight had been slow rolling there and when he called it the third time the eight stopped less than an inch shy of falling, dead inline.

I was the one racking. There might have been a tiny imperfection with the first rack, but I doubt it. I gave good racks. The next three racks were absolutely perfect, I made sure of it.

That was the only time I got hammered that bad on eightball breaks. This was on an eight foot coin op.

I am in the process now of putting out the story and the video of Earl running the 10 racks in a row for the MILLION DOLLAR CHALLENGE (I have the last 5 racks on tape and NOBODY in the pool world has seen it.....except me:wink:) This is still the most money ever won for a match of pool. Imagine running 11 racks of 9-ball with a MILLION DOLLARS at stake...This PROVES Earl is crazy...in a good way of course...lol:wink:

There is an incredible story behind this historic feat and YES HE DID GET HIS MONEY. We went through two and a half years of litigation and I was under a confidentiality agreement and couldn't talk about it (or defend myself come to find out:frown:)

I really hope this gets made, as a lover of documentaries and pool. Has a lot of potential, I think.

Omaha John

Getting a thumbs up from Gram-paw means a lot to me. I know you wouldn't give your grandson something you didn't really believe in. I also wish I could have learned these secrets off a DVD instead of having to go through the thousands of Heads Up Matches it took to learn it on my own.

I want to give a special thanks to those that helped me learn the secrets...Omaha John, Dalton Leong (the Chinese Zen Master/Pool Hustler)Strong Arm John, Doug Smith, Roger Griffis, Rusty B. Junior Weldon, Efren R. Arkansas Calvin, Tony Fargo, Billy (Wade Crane) Johnson, Frisco Jack, Strong Arm John, Tommy Rey, Vernan (the faceless man) Elliot, Spanish Mike, and many more...Thanks For Helping Me Discover the Secrets :)
MR. SHUPUT right? Man that guy could flat out play. I never got to see him shoot as much as I would have liked. But when he was shooting all eyes were on him. He had the coldest eyes of any player I've ever seen, If you know what I mean. I hadn't seen him since the 80's tell my brother talked him into coming to Des Moines last year to watch SVB & Scott Frost play. I wish he could still play but he had to give it up because of some trouble with his neck. Looking forward to seeing your DVD'S.

Thanks Robin. Yes, I have the rights to the video and the legal issues have been resolved long ago. I really want to do a documentary on the whole series of events that led up to him running those 11 racks. Someone said the odds were better to get struck by lightning INSIDE a pool room (and believe me I felt like I had been "struck" by something..lol)
I am open to suggestion as to what to do with this video because I really think everyone should see the MOST HISTORIC EVENT IN POOL's HISTORY.
There were several people there that I would like to use in the documentary including yourself, Jay H.(who racked the last 5 racks) and even Earl Himself  (O.M.G.lol) If anyone else was there let me know or if you have any great suggestions on how to introduce this HISTORIC SECRET....too bad a lot of people now a days don't even know this happened. It certainly changed my life and the life of others!!! CJ

The only thing that taints it a little is that I've heard he racked several of the racks himself and made 9s on the break. We all know how to rack 9 ball to increase the odds of the 9 going in significantly.

Nonetheless, that is all just part of the story and another interesting detail. I'd love to read or watch more about it! And watching the racks you have on video would be fantastic. Please let us know when it's ready!

This is another little story about racking and breaking at 9 ball.

I recently played Scotty Townsend who is my friend and competitor. Before I start off, he gives me the wild five ball and I have all I can stand to stay in the game. (That's how much of a competitor he is )

We've played for years and I've never seen him cheat or shark but the 9 ball goes on his first rack and break and I'm not a happy camper. I check the rack EVERY time thereafter. He racked the balls tight every time. I saw nothing wrong with his racks. After he thrashed me as usual and after I had cooled off, I moseyed over to where he was sitting and shared a beer with him and he mentioned to me about the break. In 9 ball if you know the BREAKING SECRET, you can make the 9 ball on the break without loosening either of the two balls behind the 9 or anything else.

Maybe I will get Scotty to divulge the secret when I get him in the commentary booth. :D

The next few matches the 9 ball fell a couple of times for me (once I knew the secret). :D

I bet he won't make it often using the magic rack. Johnnyt

The first session of using CJ's aiming system was a big success for me.

JoeyA

JA,
I was exposed to CJ's aiming system when I first started playing pool. I have not seen it described anywhere else; but find it extremely attractive. I recall trying and comparing CJ's system, Hal Houle's system, and Joe Tucker's system. To me (and I'm NOT criticizing the other systems), I think CJ's system was easiest to use; and used it myself for a year or two. It is definitely great for someone wishing to avoid the setup problems inherent in pivoting systems. It also introduces the beginning player to a system that can easily be used even when they advance to the level where they want to pocket a ball in a SPECIFIC portion of the pocket.

I am really surprised it is not more popular - it is a great way to help the player get aligned with the proper track along which to send the cue ball. It also works well with the ghost ball visualization that many players use. No scientific proof of it's accuracy required; it is self-evident that it will send the object ball wherever you choose, and it is easy to adjust for contact induced throw.

Don,
I agree that Cj's aiming system is one of the EASIEST to learn. (And that doesn't mean it is a poor aiming system by any stretch of the imagination). I think it is a FINE aiming system and while using it, I noticed an increase in my ability to focus on the shot that I don't always have.

I think the fact is that many people including myself just didn't "see" his aiming system the first time around. The high quality packaging of this new DVD as well as the versatility of the DVD allows the viewer to jump around from chapter to chapter along with the other high quality content makes this DVD a winner. I wouldn't have known about CJ's DVD if it hadn't have been for him joining Facebook.

In real estate, it's LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION.

In sales, it's MARKETING, MARKETING, MARKETING.

What is the shipping time after ordering?

I ordered mine the day I read JoeyA's original post and it was in my mailbox the NEXT day. Of course, I only live 25 miles from Dallas. Still, he gets them right out, and with a color, autographed 8x10 picture too!

I've gotten my money's worth out of the video!!!

RE: Ultimate Pool Secrets

I am so glad I have had the opportunity to watch this video. It's a class act with top notch helpful information on improving my game. I have been shooting pool off and on for quite a number of years and have never run into much of the information CJ shows us. Had I been taught this stuff when I was learning pool I swear it would have changed my life. As it is now, even this late in the game I am looking forward to the changes it will make in my performance on the table and I hope to surprise several people who have been taking my money. Watch Out!
A great big thanks to CJ for making such a fine DVD and instructional video that I can understand and actually use. If he ever comes out with another even more advanced DVD I'll be first in line.
I would recommend this DVD to anyone who is serious and wants to improve his game. I don't believe you can miss with this DVD. A great investment. The best.

I got a real good pre-shot routine from it that fits me just right. There were 5 other things I learned from it right away. It will pay me back ten-fold in the future. Johnnyt
