Hi,
Seeing all of these posts about various players made me think about old times.
For those of you near San Diego, I was there maybe 6 or so years ago and went to a tournament at a place I can't remember, but thought it was one of the last tournaments there and that they were shutting down.
Anyway, I was a D player and drew KK first and got drilled, then drew someone named I think Baby Ray or something like that. Wonder if anyone knows how he plays compared to some other named people around the country (compare to anyone you can think of)
Ended up playing some guy 1 pocket for $50 a game (I played much better one pocket than 9 ball) and won a little. He wanted to go to somewhere else and I was not familiar with the area but I think it was Hollywood something. There was a Vip room and they said we just missed Kiefer Sutherland (this was well before 24 so it may have been closer to 10 years ago) Anyway surprise surprise the guy was laying down a bit, and we played for $100 a game and he whooped me pretty badly. It was a really nice pool hall with a 4 star restaurant in front and if I remember right it had a big fence around the parking lot and a convenience store across the street, the neighborhood seemed like it wasn't the best.
Thanks for any help.
