I just returned from a west coast road trip, I call it a road trip because it sounds cooler then .....family vacation..... which it was:wink:. I was able to see quite a few famous pool halls and even play in a few of them. My first stop was the city by the bay, I was able to briefly check out Family Billiards. It looked like a cool place with lots of Gold Crowns and decent amount of room, although I did not see any families there it was fun. Then I went by Town and Country billiards in Daly City I did not play but poked my head in the door for a few minutes. It was a cool looking building at a busy intersection. Then it was down to Pismo beach and I spent a little time at HotShots Billiards, nice room but it only had a few tables that I would call competition tables. Then we were on our way to the big city of Los Angles, where I played for a few hours at Yankee Doodles aka the third street billiard club. I also snuck in the House of Billiards hoping to see Jay there but it was early in the day and the action was slow. My last stop was San Diego where I played for awhile at Jolt'n Joes, another good room with lots of room upstairs. I passed through Las Vegas on the way home and thought about Fatboys invite but we had less than a half of a day and needed to show the family Down town, the strip and Bellagio's buffet $$$ ( I thought buffets were cheap
) oh well we had a great time on the west coast and you folks have some great pool rooms.
