Latest update:

Joshua is definitely on the road to recovery. :smile: His test results keep improving more and more. He has not had to do dialysis the last 2 days and his kidney function tests keep showing slight improvements. :smile::smile:

With any luck, at his current pace of improving, we might be able to take him home in 3 or 4 days. :thumbup:

I can't wait to be able to tuck him into his own bed, read him a book and lay down with him and watch him go to sleep then go get a good nights sleep in my own bed. It's amazing how you take the littlest things for granted sometimes and realize how much they really do mean to you when they are taken away.

I'm sure a lot of you already know this, but those who don't, trust me when I say this .............. being a Father is the greatest thing that will ever be entrusted to you in life ............. take full advantage of it and enjoy every second of it.

GREAT NEWS!!!​

We get to take Joshua home this afternoon! He's still on a few restrictions for a while and we have some more appointments in the next week to do some follow-up testing and such. They may want to do one more blood transfusion in within the next week depending on some of the follow-up tests.

Today is day 13 here and I'm ready, as is Joshua, to go home. It's been a trying ordeal but things could have been much worse than they turned out so I'm definitely thankful for that. We see children in here that have much worse problems than Joshua had, and it's simply heartbreaking. :frown: It sure makes a guy truly appreciate the little things in life that much more.

Gotta go for now. The little guy needs to go to the bathroom. LOL

Thanks for the update! I am glad that lil munchkin is back at home...btw, he's a cutie! I miss my kid when he was that young...seem's like yesterday...
