Camera and Laptop Questions

Is it possible to record using two cameras working in tandem, showing two
angles. One with bridges, head position and the results of a shot, and
another angle showing stance, body movement and balance. Can the two
cameras record, synchronize and display with a split screen on a laptop.

I'm 50,tall and my technique has deteriorated.Up until the last year I'd
been away from the game for five years.I want to refine and video is the
way.

I spent last night reviewing past threads on video here and in the 14.1
section.A lot of it was Greek to me.I'm not very computer literate but I'm
learning. To me,reviewing two angles at the same time could give a more
complete story of whats happening in shot execution.I'll start with one
camera and a laptop but I want to have capabilities of expanding and
adapting.I also want to be able to take my computer as it functions on my
desktop into my local poolrooms-taverns to show the teaching video and
CDs I've discovered along with streaming,i.e.-Joe Tucker,Dr.Dave,Bob
Jewitt,Mike Page,TheActionReport,OnTHeRail,Accustats, and so many
more here at AZB.I have $1000.00 to spend right now. Please, someone
kick me in the butt to make the first move.Simple is good.

Getting ready to go to work.Forgive me if I don't reply till later and thank you in advance for any and all responses

Thanks,JMuck

It is possible, but I have no idea which software you would need to do that. It's probably not too expensive and readily avaioable at your local electronics store.

What is the thousand bucks for?

Are you offering money for help or is this your budget?

Thanks,
Jim

There are many options out there for you.

If you're just starting out, my opinion, don't blow your nut on a camera just yet. You don't know what you're doing so a decent $300 Best Buy camera will do you just fine.

Windows Media Encoder is a free program (see link below) that will afford you the opportunity for multi-camera shooting. With switching on the fly etc.....and did I mention it's free?

It's a good place to cut your teeth. Video editing and broadcasting seems super glamorous on the outside but takes a lot of hard work to get it right. Technology has made it easier over the last 6-7 years, but it still takes dedication to learn.

Live video broadcasting and video editing are two seperate animals.

I know there are some GREAT UStream guys and gals on this forum that can answer those questions better than I can. Maybe some of those folks can chime in....

Windows Media Encoder

Feel free to shoot me a PM and I'll do my best to answer any of your specific questions, or point you in the right direction.

Good luck and good racks....
