Can anyone help/advise on my Brunswick Gold Crown 9??

Hi guys... Newbie here and I'm hoping the pro/vets in the know, would be willing to help me. We bought a completely refurbished gold crown 9' about 20+ years ago and has had very little use over those years (still looks new IMO).

We're moving from Knoxville TN area to AZ and I can't take this badboy with (sad face emoji!). But (and here's my problem!), I have NOOOOO clue what it's worth in order to sell it fairly for both sides,

Anyone know roughly what a Gold Crown II in mint-ish condition should sell for?? Any help would be appreciated! TY!
Used pool tables, even Brunswick Gold Crown’s are not that easy to sell at $ price you might think you should get for. In addition to the condition of the table, it depends on factors like your location, how you advertise it, how quickly you need to sell it, etc. I’m guessing $3k - $4k likely the best you’re going to get, as the buyer will likely have to spend an additional $1k+ to get it broken down, moved and set back up with new cloth, by a reputable installer.

Many years ago in the 70's, I bought a 9' for $200.
Buddy and I were sitting in a bar and a couple sitting by us mentioned they had a 9 footer they would take $500 for, but it had to be moved in two days as they were moving. After a few more drinks, we were at $200, but it had to be out in two days.
I had room and jumped at the offer. We really didnt know what we were getting into. That slate was heavy, 1 1/8" and pinned. Thankfully we were young and stupid. Other than carrying the slate it was pretty simple. Great table for $200 but shortly there after got divorced and had to leave it there.

I'm not getting this. $1000-1500 max. GC are around everywhere since many rooms are moving on to Diamonds. Buyers have to pay for moving and setup and recovering. The cost of cloth is $350. You are talking $1500-2000 over the purchase price of the table. Like mikemosconi posted there is a very limited market for 9' commercial grade home tables.

This one is almost mirror finish...

Nice table but to get more than 2g's you're gonna have to find that one perfect buyer.
Well now that would suck b/c that's what I paid for it 20+ years ago! ;o( Guess when we moved to TN 7 years ago I should have taken the installer up on his offer to give me $3K JUST FOR the orig Italian slates (and he said he would replace it with the "slateen" they use now!) ;o(

No mechanic on the planet is paying 3k for a set of slates. He was pulling your leg or didn't know what the hell he was talking about.

Your table is super nice! I think if you market it you could get 2-3k because it's so pretty. The only downside I see is when a ball hops off the table and hits the rail top, what will happen?

Pool tables are very hard to move. Players like us on this board are your target customer. We want either commercial Gold Crowns, or commercial Diamond. A lot of people here have modified their GC's to spruce up the appearance. I've yet to see anyone paint the top though, so that's the only hold up on this table. Painting the sides as nice as yours are, and plating the castings, increases the appeal and value, IMO.

Homeowers that are not players want furniture tables.

Plus, you are competing with free to $300 furniture tables available all day long on Craigslist from people that simply want them out of the house so they can have their space back.

Also for context, an original, unmodified GC 1-3 is worth about $1500.

no clue what 'slateen' is. life sux sometimes. you're not going to get near what you're hoping unless you find the perfect buyer. if someone offers you 3g's take it and run.

Thanks for the feedback.

Anyone looking for a 9 foot table and going to someone's house who is selling it bc they are planning a move or bc of a death of the owner is going to low ball you to hell off your asking price simply bc they know that you are stuck and that your options for buyers are extremely limited.

Attached see one of my son's tables- a Brunswick anniversary- as it sat in the home that he went to for purchase- owner died, wife sold to my son for about $3K ( asking price was $6K) - and she handed him cues there worth $2k easily at no extra charge ( he knows cues, she did not)). The table was fully restored by the old owner. It will be installed soon in my son's new home.

My point is- guys here are probably correct you may find a prospective buyer or 2 through local advertising, but if you ask only $3k or $4K - they will expect to walk away with it at around only $1.5 to $2K. Be smart, ask at least $5K, be willing to go down quite a bit, your last option will be to agree on their highest price as they start walking out your door.

Knox, to biloxville is 8 hr. A 20 hr car trip split over a couple days is not too bad for a table that is likely to outlive you.

I'd also think a reputable mechanic would do the pickup and install for a couple thou.
Okay, I'll play, but Knoxville is still a far piece for me. I used to go up that way at the drop of a hat, but . . .
Who has the name and digits of a good mechanic in Knoxville?

I'll add that when you decide on an asking price, you should post it on the for-sale forum (here). Facebook Marketplace and the Facebook billiard groups (like Open Billiards Market) are worth joining and posting. You also need better pictures like the one posted above by rexus31.

If you go, I'll let you use my lifetime membership at the Mouse's Ear.

Correct, It was taken apart and completely refinished by a pro in 3 coats of black laquer and all legs, pockets, ball return/holder and logo chrome plated. It is truly in exceptional shape (almost one of a kind?). The felt is SIMONIS too BTW & speed rails in excellent shape (FWIW). ;o)
Pockets "standard"? Pocket size?
