Looks Like An Old Palmer Cue. Probably First Catalog. Is It For Sale? Or Were You Just Curious?

I sold a old adams cue adout 8 months ago and that cue looks familiar even had a ring in the butt cap but I can't tell for sure if it is a 18 or a 14 pin but I think both had 18 pins back then also don't all the old palmers have the inscrined delrin butt cap PALMER insignia that I am not seeing on that thing.I don't have one but check the third edition bb Nick

If you read the description take note the other cue says palmer on it If he is useing that case for bait it is working if the cue is a old jap made adams it is a $100 cue. The other cue if there is one , says palmer on it! It even has the old adams weight bolt in it. I don't know what palmer used so I am probably wrong. I think I will offer $200 for the case and if he says no something is up. Nick

The old Adam R/A-6 sorta looked like this one, but had a larger black ring where this one has a thin gold ring, and a noticeable difference in the buttcap. Adam did two old Rambow replicas, but they had dots in the points and butt.
I can understand Raist's thought that it should have a Titlist forearm if it's a Rambow replica. Look at the second Palmer catalog, though. On Tate's website, you can see that it looks like Palmer might have done a couple of versions. In Chris' personal collection, his Model C has beautiful Titlist points. In the catalog scan (or in the second BB), check out the veneers there. Don't look Titlist at all... One way or the other, Tate will know!

The more I look at the cue the more I think you are right mailly because the ebony points Adams were rosewood and the yellow veneers are wider and the Adams might have had orange and in there and I see no orange. Nick

I am guessing that this cue was special ordered by someone who wanted ebony. Since Brunswick stopped making ebony titlists long before that and palmer was no longer converting cues, Palmer used one of their own forearms built from an "I" blank. I think you will see sililarities in the picture below.
This was simple to do because Palmer kept an inventory of partially completed cues (without inlays) on hand for custom orders.
