Can someone guide me in the right direction im about to buy a cue

I'd check out a Lacasi Cue for sure.......

You might eventually want to switch to a low deflection shaft.

Lacasi cues are pretty reasonable and most laminated shafts cost more for the shaft than you would pay for the Lacasi with the low deflection shaft.

Check them out online or see if someone in your area sells them.

Good Luck with your finding a cue.....

The players hxt, or pure X line is hands down one of the best hitting, and well made (for production cues) cues out there for less than $150. Get it from Ozone billiards. They have excellent customer service!

Alright guys new to the forum here been mostly lurking for a couple months but I think im about to purchase one of these two cues and I would like to hear what you guys think, and if im not making a good choice what I should consider.

Now in my current situation I cannot afford anything beyond the price of these two cues not significantly at least. I am trying to decide between a cuetec r360 and players HXTE20 and I have a couple questions.

-Is the website I found the HXTE20 legit? does anyone have any experience with them?

-From what I know both have a really good tip but is there a big difference between the way the two play?

-Is the HXT shaft any better then the cuetec? I have seen that shaft on ozonebilliards for 100 by itself.

-Is this a good starting place for me do you think? Do you recommend something else in the same price range?

Players HXTE20

Cuetec r360

Am I making the right choice? I am mostly a beginner player still and have been just playing with house and bar cues and I want something decent I am getting serious about pool and I love it and id like to start somewhere but at my current level I don't think I can get something in the 300 range that others have pointed me in.

If this is not the right place to ask the question im sorry and can you tell me where to ask.

After I bought my first custom cue that was the end of shooting with any production cue.
I only buy Custom cues as a personal player or main player.

If I was starting all over I would buy a used custom cue, solid maple shafts, wood to wood joint. if the cue is 5 or ten years old that have stayed straight in my opinion those cues are the best cues.

The Player's HXT series are great. The only reason I changed (to OB121) is that I discovered that I prefer a wrapless cue. I used the cues below for one year. Both cues are perfectly straight, lots of tip left. They both have small nicks in the butt sleeve. Also include joint protectors for the HXTE10, moosehead bridge and new Masters Blue Chalk.

Here's what I've got for sale:

Player's HXTE10 $153 at Seybert's. I'd take $110 plus shipping http://www.seyberts.com/products/Pure_X_by_Players_HXTE10_Pool_Cue-102578-10161.html

Player's JB5 jump-break cue $89 at Seybert's plus $25 for the upgraded Samarsa tip (instead of standard phenolic). I'd take $75. http://www.seyberts.com/products/Players_S_PJB5_Pool_Cue-101118-332.html

Buy both and I'll throw in the 2x2 case. http://www.seyberts.com/products/Black_2x2_Lined_Hard_Pool_Cue_Case-103998-208.html

Probably run about $200 for everything including shipping in CON US.

My son won the MA Jr state championship with that same cue. You seen to have issues with dinging the buttcap in the same manner on both cues. If you are ever in MA, I'll tell you now, NO you can't borrow my cue, you seem dangerous to the finish of them LOL
