I got some cueballs and they have some blueing on them. I actually thought I might put them in my dishwasher or ??

Is there a way to get them back to 100%? I would like to use them as balls for signatures.

Thanks,

Ken

if you put them in the dishwasher let me know how they turn out. I just bought a set of super aramith pros for almost 200 and I dont wanna try it out on them. If i still had the balls my table came with id try it on them but I dont.

I have cleaned my set of.........Super Aramith in the dishwasher in the past. It doesn't clean the "blueing" off. Manual cleaning works better. Someone on here posted that when he tried to get his dishwasher to clean his balls, she said no.

I've used rubbing alcohol and disinfectant wipes with pretty good success. Nothing I've found will get out those little nicks from launching the balls off the table, however.

Great thread title, bu the way. That's one way to get a bunch of views.

I take my cue ball with me all the time when I go to the poolhall (I don't have a table at home)(yet)My cue ball is riddled with blue dots. I use the same thing as I use on my cue shaft,a new Magic Eraser and denatured alcohol and some carnauba wax,it takes 99.1% of everything off the ball/ball's. Hope it helps.....Ron

They also come scented if you want your ball's to smell like potpourri:thumbup:

This is what my suggestion would be. First use alcohol to clean em up as much as possible. Then wipe em down with a Magic Eraser to get the rest of the bluing out. Finally wax em up for the shine.

well....

If they are impregnated with chalk, they have been Sanded by the chalk as well, and I would guess a little ajax wouldnt damage the ball anymore than the chalk has....If they are shiny and blue I might try car polish and see how it works....

wet washrag and a clean dry towel.....

if you wish you can send me $20 a month and I will send you tap water in a squirt gun......

or you can just run a rag under your sink... and dry the balls off....

simplify...

I'd use this if I had a problem but mine comes clean in the ball cleaner.

I just don't have a proper response to the title, and also not able to offer any help because I've never had dirty balls.

Seriously, I haven't!

Good luck, though, Ken - lots of good advice on here.

BTW - if you read the replies just based on the title, it's pretty funny!
