If the CCS was going to cause a conflict I would have assumed he would do it to the BCAPL.
This won't help the CCS or the VNEA.
The VNEA event in Vegas already sucks, the turn out is extremely low and very Canadian heavy. Now there is a strong chance that players from western Canada don't go to the VNEA event in Vegas? If that takes place put a fork in them because they are done.
On the other hand if enough people from Western Canada decide to go to Vegas and the VNEA instead the CCS tournament will have low entries and people will then bail on the domino effect and go to Vegas instead. That could in effect destroy the CCS Westerns.
Either way, the VNEA event sucks, and the CCS league system is tiny with few teams, even in Calgary where it is based. The CCS and ACS should have made nice with the BCAPL and worked together at the sale of the league system. Instead they dug their heels in and screwed everything up in the classic dog eat dog mentality of pool promotion.
