Case maker recommendations

Sorry I was para-phrasing. And that case is a great buy at $1500! Unfortunately I already have my saddle style tooled case. My next one is going to be WAY out there.

Heck I might even try making one, just for fun. My good friends dad, makes sheaths and knives. Has an awesome Tipmann Boss sewing machine for leather. I also have quite a few friend in the upholstery biz to get some pointers from.. Might take a crack, just to see if I can do it. (I'm also getting closer to try out making my first cue.)

Either way, I think we agree John.

Have fun. The tippman isn't going to be much help in cue case making unless you make the envelope/pancake style case.

Like this one, $900

I was actually thinking I'd try a butterfly if anything. No tubes to worry about. I actually have a bit of experience in the sewing world. Not a ton, but I have an Idea of how to go about the interior, for a butterfly case.

I will share with everyone, if I make it that far.

Thanks for the heads up on the Tippman!

Again have fun. Making something for yourself is always an accomplishment. I think that the butterfly is more of a challenge but you don't need any plastic tubes for it.

Does that mean I can query why a 75c DVD is being knocked out for $50 now?

Sure and you did that and received many replies as to why the DVD is worth more than the $50 being asked for it.

You are the type of person who knows the price of everything and the value of nothing.

The entire point is that people SHOULD question the prices and then through discussion the value can be determined.

However once value is determined and it's found to be worth MORE than the asking price then there are no grounds to continue to knock the price or the person offering the knowledge.

A $500 case with $1000 worth of decoration is not worth $3500 to me. A $50 dvd containing the sum of 40 years of pro class experience is worth every penny and more.

You can't understand the difference.

I am not good with values either but I am pretty confident in the value of Thaigers posts

Thanks. Value for money is ingrained in my belief system, as is fighting protectionism and exploitation. Those that seek to keep information to themselves for personal gain get short shrift, too.

Commendable qualities, I'm sure you'll agree.

I think you completely missed the point and value of Blucollar's post.

I can't understand why, in the current economic climate, anyone would pay $50 for a DVD.

Did you buy it, John?

Are you hurting financially? Is everyone you know hurting financially? Do you have access to the financial situation of every other human? No? Then stop worrying about their money.

I have not bought it because I am not interested in John's methods for banking at the moment since I am using CTE/ProOne for banking. Not that I am restricted financially from owning both but I bought DVDs on kicking instead recently that I am studying.

Lou however bought it as have many others and given John glowing reviews on the material contained in them.

I have Johns DVD & it's good. But my personal preference to learning something (at least pool) is reading books. And the 2 best books you can have on banking are the Beards books. Diagram galore.
Mr. Barton if you don't have them, you should get them. I guarantee you'll learn something in them to help your one pocket game or your pool game in general.

I own all of Freddy's books.

And I think you completely missed the point and value of my response.

A lot of people over here say Americans do not understand sarcasm. I have never subscribed to this theory myself.
