*Case of the Year* nominations

I'm interested to see how it shakes up the voting. It's far from the fanciest case, but it is a legitimate argument for the best bang for buck case period!

Waiting for JB to offer a fully embroidered option. Looks like a heavy tooled case but is actually embroidered nylon! (I want 5% of the first run if you use this idea, John! :p:p)

IMHO the JB Rugged line should receive huge consideration for case of the year.
Motor Trend Car of the year has never been based on how fancy or expensive the Car is. My opinion is the JB rugged line has brought a beautiful case to the market place that provides TOP quality protection
(Which is the whole purpose of a cue case to begin with) for the masses to enjoy not just the privileged few who can afford these of the hook custom cases.
1. Beautiful
2. Top quality protection
3. Affordability
JB Rugged cases are the only place to get all 3

(BTW, as a car guy Motor Trend is shit. Most car mags write biased reviews based on who pays them... Just an FYI.)

By this same measure the CueTec R360 or the Players HXT, should be cue of the year... Look I agree with you, it's an interesting take to say the least. It's on the list, and it will get voted on, and the people will decide. I personally think that there are a TON of contenders in the running.

I am flattered that folks would nominate the Rugged line for this. I think we all know that Cue and Case of the Year is for the fanciest work done but still it's so cool that folks would even consider this line.

We have done a bunch of custom ones this past year and for me it's been great to be able to offer custom cases in the sub-$200 level.

I know you are right John but I'm just having a little fun rattling the cage

I'll also dissent in raising the Rugged series. I have a 2x5/3x4 and it is by far the most usable case I have ever encountered!! I have never before gotten to carry 3 playing shafts along with a break cue and a jumper with an extension! I still have room for a rest, a monster bridge head, chalk, and whatever else! In a tidy package too!

As a design, it is a real gamebreaker - name another nylon case that is more desirable than most leather cases for durability. Classy look and perfect execution made the Rugged a no-brainer for me in 2013.

matcase's "ribbon of life".....incredible, unique works !!

I believe this is a made in '13 case.

I never ever get tired of looking at Marc's work. I know that this case will probably be overlooked but I sincerely hope that you all take the time to look at it very closely before you cast your vote for something else.

Some cases rise to the level of high art in my opinion and Marc's absolutely do.

How long should we let the nomination process run? I think we have most of the major contenders in now. All of the BIG case I could think of are present and accounted for.

When should we start the voting?
Suggestions welcome.

I have one more.

Start the votes as soon as John posted his last one.
