centennial balls or aramith tournament

i'm pretty sure the ipt balls use the super pro formulation and not the new duramith forumlation in the tournaments.

I prefer the centennials, but only because they look better. Play wise, I can't tell the difference.

The Aramith tournament balls are well worth the extra price tag, the luster is alot deeper than the regular Aramith balls, the tollerances is also tighter.

Aramith difference in ball sets

Having played IPT ball set for well over a year on a regular basis, they play great AND just like the Tournament Cue ball, do NOT leave chalk marks on the cue ball. That is the main reason I think the IPT balls ARE the same formula as the Tournament balls. I.M.O.

Sorry, but I can't believe there is any way the IPT balls are the same as the Tournaments if they were available online for $89.95 retail:

Wholesale on the Tournaments are probably a lot more than that. Besides, haven't the IPT balls been out for a lot longer than the Tournaments? The new Tournaments are the latest generation phenolic resin that I think came out way after IPT balls were available.

gottem both, i love my centenials, but I give the nod to the tournements. Ya can't go wrong.

I have both the Super Aramith Pro's and the new Tournament edition set as well. I do like the new tournament addition and would recommend these first. I have no preference in style, unlike the other fellas. All the balls fall just fine for me...

Aren't they the same exact balls, from the same exact manufacturer, with minor aesthetic differences (centennial/super pros)? I prefer the aramith red dot cue ball, you can see how well or badly you hit your shot sometimes. I do prefer the way the centennial object balls look though. For some reason the aramith balls are priced a little less. Anybody who says they can feel a difference, hope I see you on espn!
