Centennial balls

Do only Brunswick centennial balls have the ring and arrow markings around the numbers or are there knockoffs out there?

I've seen balls with the dart at 3, 6, 9 and 12 position around each number.

Wouldn't call them knockoffs, just another style on the same theme.

I cannot recall the brand.

The brand is Ohlhausen. Agree, wouldn't call them knockoffs either. The other differences are, rather than a blue circle cue ball, that Ohlhausen set has a plain cue ball, no marking. Also, the numbering has a bit different look and size, and a couple colors are a bit different from the Centennials.

All the best,

these are the balls I am asking about.... whether they are centennials or not only the ones with the rings around the numbers of course

Those are mostly centennials.

In the top picture, the 4 appears to be an Aramith super pro.
In the bottom, the 10 and maybe the 3 are premiers, while the 11,13, and 14 look to be crowns.

Hope this helps.

Aramith, yes. Most likely...

Super pro, no.

13 is a Centennial in both pictures.

Same font as the super pro. What leads you to think its not?

The numbers are larger (and possibly a different font)on the Super Pros Chuck.

And the numbers are inside the stripe on the super pros...

The pictures are of different sets, and the whole thing is a miscellaneous grab bag of balls, some Centennials, some Crowns, and I suspect some inbetween.

All the best,

11,14, and 15. Misspoke. :o

Super pro set picture below, the font looks the same to me. And the 4 ball is solid, no stripe. :duck: :thumbup

Font is definitely either a different typeface or bolded at least. My bad though I thought both pics were the same one just closer in. I think the 4 in he top pic may be a super pro. Sorry I got that screwed up.

Its all good man, its only a talk about pool balls.

The bottom line is if your thinking of buying them, and they are being represented as Centennials, run away. Both sets pictured are a collection of different types of balls, whatever they may be, they won't give you would expect from a premium ball set.

Yes but if dude jist needs a set to play with and they cost like $20-30 bucks they're ok then.

Could have the two sets for $40 they don't advertise as centennials just billiard/pool balls I was just wondering cause it looked like I could make a full set between the two

I think that's an excellent idea!

Some Aramith Restorer & Cleaner and they should look "nearly new" for an excellent price...

At $40 it's worth a go but if you might end up with mismatched sizes due to wear. Some pool hall balls end up a lot small. I'm sure the ones that look like Centennials are. It's possible you will have some Hyatts in there.
