I just noticed on the website that there has been changes. The Mike Sigel qualifier which was the first qualifier is now Dennis Hatch. So now are all players who thought they were playing with Mike Sigel are now playing with Dennis Hatch? The change must have happend within the last couple days and the qualifier happend 6 weeks ago. Can the IPT do that? I suppose if the players are ok with it then its fine but there might be some ticked off players on that team. What do you guys think about this change and the tournament in general

Agreed. It's just one thing after another. I cant even say i'm surprised anymore.....I was thinking of trying out for the pro am thingy and then i snapped out of it..
salam4...Sigel quit...for whatever reason. If Sigel pulled out, what does that tell you about "the tournament in general"? Trudeau is a scumbag conman, and any poolplayer who spends money to get involved with him deserves what they get.

Setting aside any history and looking at this coldly as a stand alone issue..........what do you or anyone else think the IPT should or could do about Mike Sigel or Sarah Ellerby or any other Pro choosing to pull out, other than replace them with another Pro? A friend of mine called me to ask if I wanted to play in it and when I told him how I felt, he said KT had nothing to do with the IPT anymore. I'm not sure how that rumor got started.
I had only been playing pool for about a year when I went out and watched an IPT qualifier for the Reno tournament. It was the one where Danny Harriman and Ronnie Wiseman qualified. Jeanette Lee played there as well. The players were all very excited about the new tour and in spite of the obvious concerns, I was hopeful as well.
The subsequent events and the disappointing way they were handled just make it impossible for me to enjoy myself at any IPT related event.
It's a free country and if folks want to play in these things, fine. I would rather not.
Time will tell whether this event is a total success or not, but even the greatest cynic has to think 80:1 money odds are pretty good. It costs $75 to enter the qualifier and if your team wins you get $6,000.
Besides, how many of you pay $75 to enter local events only to win a few hundred? Don't forget that you might get to play the current US Open champion!

The turnout has been weak for most of the tournaments. For a few of the qualifiers they barely had 6 people show up. I know for charlie bryant's qualifier only 4 people showed up and they talked a couple people who came to watch into joining the team. Johnny Archer's qualifer was real good, it was about 30 extremely strong players. All the others have been in between. Usually 10-15 players. I don't know where the $50,000 is going to come from because the entry fees are not even going to come up with half of it.
