Changing Velocity Pro to Tour Edition

Greyghost try your local pool room do you know the owner if so ask him what 860hr will cost. Both my guys gave it to me at cost. I paid around 170 for a 9ft. If you visit frequently they should be will to cut you a deal.

No real pool halls round here brother, just a bunch of glorified bars. You know I was the lone soldier at this one place giving lessons...everyone loved me except the room owner. An out of stater who was just some dumb finance manager who cant hold a cue.

Was talking to him once about reclothing the tables and adding some things to the walls and he said he liked it how it is. I would show the girls how to brush the tables, take out trash, give lessons, sell cues for him, etc... Guy was a real jerk and I just couldn't take his supreme nittyness and told him like it was and never went back. Breaks my heart to see people running this whole business and not caring...the games been close to me all my life.

Johnnyt has it on a table outside his house (no AC) and says it's too fast. Go figure.
Seems too easy to just blame the cloth when it works fine for some and others have problems.
Humidity affects all cloth so to make a blanket statement about any brand of cloth is not justified.

The Velocity did everything I thought it would and more LOL. It probably would have slowed down enough in low humidity if I hadn't insisted that the mechanic stretch it are far as he could. I even helped him stretch it more. He probably said to himself, "OK Mr. No it all, you want it tight, I'll give you tight." Sometimes you really don't want what you ask for. I think I'll let him put the Tour Edition on the way he thinks it should go on. Johnnyt

I actually went pick up my table today, found a good deal for a nice brunswick.
I been seeing you guys talk about the velocity lately.

From what I'm getting is its somewhat faster than the 860 and is colorfast and holds speed better over the lifespan. Is this all correct because I got the humidity problem so it would be a good bet with the speed right? I would normally use the simonis but money is a little tighter this time a year and I figure being hopeful it might impress me.

Realkingcobra what's your take on this? Oh and its an 8ft oversized and living in south louisiana in a cool apartment, and gonna be playing alot of one-pocket. I just don't want to be like Slow...I mean Fast Eddies an play like the cue-ball is dragging its butt in the sand.

G.G.

I've installed the Velocity cloth before, I have nothing against it, it's an OK cloth in my book. The most important thing about installing any bed cloth is to make sure it's installed tight, in order to get the best play out of it.
