Charlie Byrant's X Breaker Name Contest...Free X Breaker Giveaway!

Since he's no longer in Hickory, NC....maybe it would be better to name it exHillBilly.
You can take Billy out of the hills, but you can't take the hills out of Billy.
I lived in Hildebrand, just over the hill from Icard, where Charlie grew up. I got to say, I really did like it there.

I don't know if people from Rochester, NY have the same working definition of "Stump Breaker" as people from the south.

Thank you everyone for the overwhelming response...

I like a lot of the names, and I have taken note of all of them. I will discuss with Charlie when the contest is over. Personally, I think Charlie's ACE is very neat. I also like Big Bang, X Class, CBX, Ballistic, and X Factor...

Richard

Yippee!! I am just happy that I got something close to what you are looking for!:D

Lisa...keeping her fingers crossed!

Just bringing up my last idea again.

"Break Xcape" or " 'Billy's Break Xcape " or " 'Billy's Break/Xcape" or even "BBX Ltd"
************** It's a great break cue and it will help the player escape from when they're hooked behind balls (jumping).

If Charlie wants something with his name you can add Charlie's or 'Billy's or Hillbilly's to the front of any idea, including X class;).

HillBilly's X-Caliber
or HillBilly's X-Calibur

Includes:
1. HillBilly moniker
2. The traditional excellence of X-Breaker.
3. Caliber referring to the measure of one's "ABILITY"
4. And for those who are familiar with King Arthur; a weapon of extraordinary proportions the Excalibur with different spelling of course.

ACE is overused in everymarket

how about the appalachian assasin

???? I hardly ever see ACE used these days.....and that is because it seems everything has an 'X' or 'tech' or 'tec' in it.

Just the word ACE implies the top, the best, the highest, the winner. It's a great word, with no negative connotations to it whatsoever, AND it has a great 'old school' feel to it. I felt it was a great word to describe Charlie, as well as describing the cue....so it's got great marketing appeal. Especially when you begin to play with it:

Accuracy
Control
Elegance

-or-

Accuracy
Control
Explosive

Either way.....it accurately describes the X-Breaker's, as well as Charlie's, qualities that make them both winners. Plus.....with poker being so hot right now.....just the word 'ACE' has great market value currently.

I also was working within the guidelines of what Richard was looking for. So I spent some time looking at the cues pictured, as well as watched the CB vids of Charlie breaking, AND kept in mind to TOTAL package (Charlie and the X-Breaker) when I came up with it. Plus, the name was supposed to convey an 'old school' feel to it, and ACE does just that. Back in the day, anyone who was considered the best at what they did, where often referred to as an ACE. I racked my brain long and hard, and even broke out a thesaurus and dictionary to help me come up with something that would be truly descriptive of both.....because, in the case of good marketing, you have to think of the two as one and the same. It's the 'hook'....the X-Breaker is 'aces' at splitting open a rack, Charlie is an 'ace' at not only breaking, but the rest of the game as well....so if you want to break like an 'ace', (like Charlie), then you'll get an X-Breaker!! It's great marketing, using a word that has only positives attached to it. It's short and sweet, and gets right to the point. And, it will be easy for anyone to remember, even for those overseas purchasers. ACE....an expert in any given field; to get the better of: surpass; a hidden advantage; (SYN.) champion, star, king, queen, winner.

Lastly, within the billiards/pool industry.....I found no production cues currently being marketed with the word ACE in their marketing strategy.

I did my homework on this one.....give me a break....LOL!!

Charlies ACE ltd.

Thanks, Jay! It's nice to see that my submission is getting a positive nod.:D And the fact that Richard liked it means I at least accomplished my goal, which was to meet the 'guidelines' that he had asked be met. A short, easy to remember name that would accurately describe Charlie's and the X-Breaker's best qualities, while retaining an 'old school' feel. I wanted to avoid anything 'gimmick-y', unlike some of my initial submissions.

All I can do now is wait and see if it can hold it's own against some of the other great submissions that have been made thus far....and keep my fingers crossed!! Lol!!! Best of luck to everyone!:D :D :D :D

A stump jumper is a hillbilly. We have lots of them even though were on the lake plains. Not many hills around.
