A few more:

The Hillbilly Harbinger

:cool: The Hillbilly Hullabaloo :cool:

The Hillbilly Hacksaw

A harbinger is a warning of things to come......a hullabaloo is a noisy excitement, a big deal, a commotion. Kinda like Richard has raised with this contest...Lol. Would actually work to describe the new X-Breaker as well, in Hillbilly terms, of course!;)

Wow this thread blew up quick

I was thinking of someway to get the woods involved, and the only thing I can think of is:

The Charlie Bryant 'Heart Breaker.

Or the Hillbilly 'Heart Breaker.

Ok, first of all sorry if my suggestions are mentioned already. I took a quick look and didn't see these, but there is always a possibility that i wasn't good enough to notice everything.

My suggestions are:

Hillbilly X-treme
Hillbilly X-terminator

and those both should be very easily understandable in any language since they are more or less universal.

I like Heart Breaker, alot. Unfortunately, McDermott already has a break cue called the HeartBreaker. It's the same reason I stayed away from 'hammer' as well.....Sledgehammer, Hammerhead...etc.

Now, you could turn it around.....BreakHearter.....get it? Break harder...lol.

Thank you.

I like the simplicity of this logo. If it is not too much trouble, me and Charlie would appreciate a simple logo submitted with the name so we can have an idea of how the logo would look when it is being put on a cue or in our ad.

But a logo is not required. If we use your name without a logo, we can still figure out a logo to go with it. So, you can submit a name without a logo.

As you can imagine, too long a name would be difficult to print on a cue.

Also, where would you suggest the logo to be?

I also have received some suggestion that we should just keep the cue clean without printing any logo on the cue, but merely use the chosen name in the ad.

Any suggestion?

Thank you so much.:)

???? I hardly ever see ACE used these days.....and that is because it seems everything has an 'X' or 'tech' or 'tec' in it.

Just the word ACE implies the top, the best, the highest, the winner. It's a great word, with no negative connotations to it whatsoever, AND it has a great 'old school' feel to it. I felt it was a great word to describe Charlie, as well as describing the cue....so it's got great marketing appeal. Especially when you begin to play with it:

Accuracy
Control
Elegance

-or-

Accuracy
Control
Explosive

Either way.....it accurately describes the X-Breaker's, as well as Charlie's, qualities that make them both winners. Plus.....with poker being so hot right now.....just the word 'ACE' has great market value currently.

I also was working within the guidelines of what Richard was looking for. So I spent some time looking at the cues pictured, as well as watched the CB vids of Charlie breaking, AND kept in mind to TOTAL package (Charlie and the X-Breaker) when I came up with it. Plus, the name was supposed to convey an 'old school' feel to it, and ACE does just that. Back in the day, anyone who was considered the best at what they did, where often referred to as an ACE. I racked my brain long and hard, and even broke out a thesaurus and dictionary to help me come up with something that would be truly descriptive of both.....because, in the case of good marketing, you have to think of the two as one and the same. It's the 'hook'....the X-Breaker is 'aces' at splitting open a rack, Charlie is an 'ace' at not only breaking, but the rest of the game as well....so if you want to break like an 'ace', (like Charlie), then you'll get an X-Breaker!! It's great marketing, using a word that has only positives attached to it. It's short and sweet, and gets right to the point. And, it will be easy for anyone to remember, even for those overseas purchasers. ACE....an expert in any given field; to get the better of: surpass; a hidden advantage; (SYN.) champion, star, king, queen, winner.

Lastly, within the billiards/pool industry.....I found no production cues currently being marketed with the word ACE in their marketing strategy.

I did my homework on this one.....give me a break....LOL!!

Lisa

I agree with using ACE based on the reasons listed above. I would take it one step further and use "Hillbilly MACE". This of course references the Mideviel weapon. As we all know the TSA no longer allows us to carry cues on board because cues are weapons.

So based on Lisa's points we have:

M=Majestic or Magnificent
A=Accuracy
C=Control
E=Elegance

All together is MACE. This cue is a weapon and lethal in the right hands on the break. The logo is a picture of a MACE with an X in the middle.

Of course if this doesn't work I still have "Billy Club" as a backup which Charlie likes as well.....:D

Perhaps Lisa and I can share custody of the cue.....;)

TC=Total Control
XTC
CBX-TC
Hillbilly-XTC
Bryant-XTC
XTC(ecstasy) implies bliss or enlightenment at the same time giving an edgy modern name thats short and easy to remember. its also in the abbreviated form short for Xtreme Total Control. I will see if i can do up some logos for it later.

Stop the contest, I got it.

Introducing the latest innovation jump/break cue from the makers of the X Breaker, it will help you RUN racks like water...

Hillbilly's X-lax

here's another

Charlie's Commander-X (CCX)
Or
Charlie's Command Post

Provides maximum breaking power, while giving you total control of the cue ball...it only hops/jumps when you command it to, then it really hops.

I would suggest the "X" be what you are already using, With Hill just to the left and Billy just to the right of it.

......

Hello

You asked for a name that :

+ can describe the accurancy, elegance, control, force....of the cue.

+ relate with Charlie Bryant Hillbilly

+ the name should be short for remembering it easily, should be include the X character for the symbol of your company.

And I think it should be a name that when anyone hear about it, they know that it comes from X-treme billiards.

My answer is : there's nothing better than AN ARROW for describing the fast, elegance, acurracy and force .

" BREAK as an ARROW " is very impressed ads.

Finally, the name I suggest :

Arrowy HillBreaker
Arrowy Hillbilly's Breaker

With photoshops we can easily design the last "y" in "Arrowy" to be likely the "X" symbol of X-treme Billiards.

I've attached here my idea for your band of ads. I'll finish it perfectly if you accept my idea.

Someone suggested MACE

There is already a good breaking cue bearing that name. I do like the name though.

frankncali ----- breaks with a Mace cue with a Ned Morris Tip
