This may or may not of help, but it's a fairly easy and cheap setup.
Stick two reinforcer donut 2 1/4" apart point ing
towards the inside ( thin hit ) part of a pocket.

Nice.

Here's another cheap aiming assist tool.

Have a bent magic rack you aren't using anymore?

Cut a piece out that holds two balls.

Line up the two holes to any pocket. Place an object ball on the closest hole to the pocket, the other hole is a perfect shot line ghost ball/contact point device.

The only problem with the sticky holes is that you can't (easily) move them around.......That is why I made this.

Move it around to any shot on the table and you have multiple references to aim and track line reference.....as well as a quick reference to tangent line (for someone that has a hard time seeing tangent line)...........

However.....what it is really best at is demonstrating how knowing precise contact points and aiming systems "don't" work...........by themselves.....due to speed of shot and CIT.

It is a good reference tool for dialing in (brain memory) for those problem shot angles...you just can't see correctly......It is also good at demonstraiting how the margin of error gets way smaller the thiner the cut

Maybe a paper hole punch and a small piece of paper...? Punch one hole, make a visible mark 2 1/4" from it, align them with the target, put the object ball on the hole and aim at the mark.

Or, if you want to be fancy, make the piece of paper 2.25 inches wide with a line down the middle to make the aiming clearer. A donut on the paper might be easier than punching a hole.

Here's something similar from Dr. Dave - on 8 1/2 x 11 paper, with tangent lines to help visualize shape.

To me, most of the stuff you put on the table is quite gimmicky. It doesn't take much to hone your stroke in and make it pure. Set up a diagonal shot the length of the table and shoot it in and stop the ball right where the object ball is. It is harder than you might think, but it really tests your stroke. The Next Step might be following this particular straight in shot into the corner pocket, also drawing the cue ball back towards where the cue ball originated. These particular shots really force you to have a good stroke, and you don't need to put any junk on your table to accomplish it. It is really the best stroke practice I have come across

Most likely right, but this thread is about aiming.

I would add that when lining up to send the cb to the marked GB spot, pay attention to where the aim line hits the object ball. If the cut is thinner than a halfball aim, pay attention to how far away the aim line is from the ob edge. You can even visualize and reference specific aim points on or near the ball, as shown below.

I wanted something where I did not have to disturb any ball by picking it up and re-placing it....just slide it up to any OB ball and point the directional marks at the pocket...

If you run accross a shot in a rack that you just can't seem to see....slide on the 3LC and it will help dial in the correct aiming track line.....then you quickly realize...it is not the aim track line that is the problem..it is the CIT....and/or your lousy stroke that is making you miss.....(at least in my case)😖
